Good food, long wait time 8/24/2007

Went for lunch around 11:30, the restaurant was crowded, but not overly so. I had the chicken salad sandwich, which was very big and tasty. Also had a piece of pie for dessert, also delicious. The only problem I had was the wait time. I waited for about 3-4 minutes in line, which is fine. But after I ordered, I had to wait over 20 minutes for my food. This was strange to me, especially since the chicken salad doesn't require any cooking (nor does the pie). The food was good, but not worth 1/2 hour of my break just to get it. Pros: Good food, big portions Cons: Long waits more

Great place for lunch 10/26/2006

I work downtown very close to Brioso and stop by regularly for lunch. It's a great casual place for sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. Their food is very reasonably priced and delicious, with a gourmet touch. I have no idea about the ""pill popping ravers"" mentioned in the other review, but their coffee is fine for me! The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and more than willing to answer any questions. The only drawback is that it's wildly popular during the lunch hour, so wait times can sometimes be up to 20-30 minutes. I've found if I go at 11 or 1 it's less crowded. Pros: Delicious food, friendly knowledgeable staff Cons: Wait times can be long during the lunch rush more

Attn Downtown Office Workers 7/8/2002

This morning I visited this place, asked for a mild coffee and commented on how so many coffee houses have bitter, robust coffees with no mild selection. Some tough guy worker got angry, told me to leave and that he ""did not have to take this"". No joke! Sure enough, I had to pour tons of cream into my coffee and it still was very strong and dark. This cafe has no interest in serving anyone who wants mild coffee. If you like bitter, exprosso-like coffee that has a kick like a shot of bourbon, this is the place for you. Someone needs to let them know that they are based in the midwest, not Manhatten or San Francisco. Not everyone in Columbus is a Exstacy-popping raver.
