Cafe Bizou

I went to Cafe 14 on a late Friday night, as a going away dinner/drink get-together for my friend who was moving to New York. Although I had made reservations with Open Table for 10 p.m., I was worried that they wouldn't want to seat us if we were coming in that late, and if the restaurant wasn't full of diners. Although there were only a few other tables, the entire staff totally welcomed us, and our server Kara, assured us not to worry. The food was wonderful--everything very delicious and exceptional. I was very impressed with their attentive, genuine, professional service, and that they told us to take our time and enjoy our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant! Definitely going back there again. more

We went to Cafe 14 this past Saturday night. It's like a little oasis tucked away in a mini-mall. Very cute - nice ambiance and adorable patio. It gets crowded on the weekend. We had a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes for our table, so they brought us complimentary frites - they are so delicious! The customer service was excellent. A member in our party received the wrong dish, so the manager gave it to her on the house - that dish cost about $40. It was so yummy she ate in anyway and wasn't the least bit upset about the mix-up. The food was incredible - from apps to entrees to desserts. We throroughly enjoyed the whole meal. I'd say this place is romantic and fun. It's not the best place for kids, but it's a great place for everything else! more

Being our first time at this restaurant, we had no idea what the ambience was like. Suffice it to say, it is NOT a place to take kids. It would've been great if my husband and I were on a date but we had a party of 6 adults and 2 kids which was definitely not ideal. Though most of our food was amazing....delicious french onion soup, perfect beef bourgiugnon but overcooked new york strip steak.....I can't help but to say that the whole experience was dampened by rude and snobby patrons who must not have kids or just have never eaten at a restaurant with kids. And the restaurant staff did nothing to help relieve the stress. They sat us right in the middle of the restaurant and gave in to the rude women who kept loudly (to ensure that we heard them) complaining about ""these dang kids"". Since the restaurant knew we were bringing children, as I stated when I made the reservation, I would think they would've been smarter about where they sat us. It's a small restaurant as it is but they could've done more to accomodate everyone's situation. Anyway, if you have children, do NOT bring them here with you but if you're going out on a date or out with adults only, this is a great place to go. A hidden gem in a tucked away strip mall. Pros: Food Cons: Rude patrons, non-accomodating staff, NOT kid-friendly more
