I visited for lunch during a conference at the Gayloard National. I thought I would get the crab and vegetable soup and a salad. The soup was horrible. Don't get the soup. After my meal, I was walking toward the restaurant exit and I fell. Not sure if I just slipped on the painted and waxed concrete floor but I hit the floor. There were a female and male waiter standing there. No one came over and asked if I was ok...they just looked at me. No one got that manager, they just stood and stared. My colleagues were still in the restaurant but luckily my husband was with me and helped me up. The only thing the waiter said was ""Have a Nice Day"". I asked for a manager, they informed me that Christine was in the back and she said she would be out in a minute. She came out about 5 minutes later and looked at me with an attitude and her arms folded. (After I asked for the manager, the two waiters went back to tell her what happened before she came out to see me.) Her only response was that she would talk to them as she looked at me as if she had no concern and I was bothering her. She had no concern whether I was hurt or not. I would never patronize this restaurant again. Although I was visiting, I have many friends in the DC, Maryland area so I will be sharing this story with not only the concierge and management at the Gaylord National Hotel, the Company that sponsored the conference, my friends, colleagues as well as all of the other review websites in effort to spare someone else from having the Horrible Experience that I had.
