Cadence Kennels

After searching for the right dog trainer for weeks, I met an older couple that brought their amazing dogs to the local dog park. They told me that their 10 months German Shepherd mix had finished a 9 week course at Cadence Kennel in Ontario and that pup was simply amazing! Did all the commands off leash at the dog park where there was at least 25 other dogs and people around. I knew I wasn't going to get that kinda result from going to Petsmart or Petco, but I also didn't want to pay $$$ for a dog trainer. The couple told me that Pat (trainer) hasn't raised his price for over 20 years, wasn't in it for the money and that the 9/10 week obedience class was actually cheaper than the $109 that Petsmart was charging. So, I called immediately and asked when their next course started. I found out it was a few weeks away and because we wanted to start as soon as possible we signed out 2 dogs up for a private lesson (which was cheap!) He spent almost 2 hours with us and we learned so much! We've always grown up with dogs and they were well mannered, but even after the first lesson, I can tell that my 2 dogs are really paying attention to me and actually thinking and learning. I definitely recommend Pat/Cadence Kennel to everyone! I can't wait until the next class! Pros: Reasonable Price and Great Trainer! Cons: Kennel is kinda old and right next to a train track more

I left my two puppys at this kennel, and was very happy. my dogs looked good when i went to pick them up after a 4 day weekend. i will definitely be taking my dogs back. they also have very good prices. more

We provide puppies to loving family homes. We had a lady contact us for a puppy and explained how she wanted it for her companion, we were later contacted by Candence Kennels and found out that our puppy was never intended to be her pet but was purchased without our knowledge for a Kennel. We were 100% decieved. I was forced to put a rating but consider this one star to be a negative star. Pros: can't think of any Cons: dishonest more

The kind and knowledgeable folks who operate Cadence Kennels know their animals: they have plenty around to learn from. They began the dog training some decades ago, having taken over the operation from the folks who trained the original Lassie. They know what a dog can learn and they know how long the dog should take to learn it . . . and they know how the dog learns it. Follow their lead and you can't go wrong. Pros: Knowledge, friendliness, humor, generosity. Cons: Ambience? It's a dog kennel, so they have a lot of gravel. Literally, the lot is all gravel, except for the dog classes lawn. more
