Everything from the atmosphere to the menu is exquisite at this 'creative Roman' restaurant across the road from the 2nd ave cinemas in the East Village.
They have combined my two favorite ingredients, porchini mushroom and truffle, with a freshly made fettuchini with quail and blueberries for a distinctively pleasing ending to each mouthful. What a dish!
The service, while abrupt, is authentically Italian - from the Vespa delivery bike out the front to the Eurotrash soccer wannabe waiters and charming old school chefs.
