Consistently excellent food 3/7/2007

I've been here numerous times and walked away impressed each time. The servers are amazing. Very personable, attentive in just the right amount. The beauty of Cacciucco, is a classy establishment with a large selection of Italian food and wine. Nice portions, good value and they have a nice outdoor patio( sitting outside is nice in a warm day). Try the lobster ravioli are DELICIOUS!!! Make reservations on friday or saturday night-the place is always packed. more

ITALIAN ROCK STARS 3/7/2007

I've been to CACCIVCCO numerous times and have never failed to have a great time. Last Sunday in particular I was lucky to be there. It was sooo fun!!!! Around 7pm two Italian rock stars show up(JOVANOTTI and NEGROAMARO) and all the Italians servers and guests were gathering around them. They were very nice with everybody, taking pictures and signing autographs. The manager offered a dessert to everybody celebrating the Soccer world cup Italy just won ( I guess they will celebrate FOREVER). We enjoyed their company, the dinner, the atmosphere and the whole experience. It was like to be in a restaurant in Rome. What a great evening!!!! TRULY A SHINING JEWEL 3/3/2007

I've eaten here many times and everytime have been absolutely wonderful. The menu always have some fabulous sounding dishes(very difficult make a decision). Of all the places in Sausalito CACCIUCCO is the ""real thing"", it is what a great restaurant should be. Creative and innovative cuisine, romantic ambiance, great people and service. In a word brilliant 3/1/2007

We came for dinner on a cold rainy night and decided to go hog-wild. We ordered-three appetizers-two-pastas-two entrees and a dessert. Everything was scrumptious. Flavorful, innovative, delicious. In a word brilliant. The service was terrific, very knowledgable and informed about the wine list. I can't remember what he picked for us but it was spectacular. A fantastic experience!!! THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL FIND!!!\r THE RESTAURANT FILLED UP AROUND 8PM AND HAD A WARM CANDLE LIGHT FEEL. IT'S HARD TO FIND A PLACE THAT WILL PLEASE EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR DINNER.\r GREAT WINE LIST(ITALIAN ONLY), EXCELLENT FOOD(AUTHENTIC MODERN ITALIAN) AND VERY ATTENTIVE SERVICE. BEATIFUL NIGHT 2/24/2007

What a wonderful place to dine!!! My new favorite Italian. There isn't one negative thing i could say about this restaurant. The dinner offered many tantalizing options, from witch it was truly difficult to choose. I enjoyed the modern italian food style better than most places in the city. Ialso really liked the scene witch was trendy but not too over the top. I have seen the wait staff welcoming every guests with warmth and the ambiance is just outstanding and cozy. Simple touches make you feel right at home. The fabulous service, excellent food, beautiful decor make an easy place to enjoy an evening with friends. Check out this gem, you will not be disappointed. more

AUTENTICO E ECCELLENTE......... 2/22/2007

Cacciucco is one of my favorite places to visit. For sure the best Italian in Sausalito. Coming fom an extremely large, extremely Italian family, i am pretty harsh critic of Italian food; but every time i'm surprise by the authenticity and quality of their food. Service is always great and helpfull, the ambiance is relaxing and trendy. If you crave good italian and exiting atmosphere you should check it out. Tuscan food in a very East Coast atmosphere.......... 2/10/2007

This must be the best place for Italian in Sausalito. Cacciucco is a fantastic restaurant with wonderful food and outstanding service. Especially when the owner himself takes care of you. I have been there numerous times, have ordered different things on the menu and each time i have been thoroughly impressed. Everything is fresh their pastas, sauces, seafood, and i believe their vegetables are all organic.\r The food is always the same........excellent!!! When you combine love for food and fresh ingredients the recipe is MAGIC. Great authentic Tuscan food in a very East Coast atmosphere. Would always recommend Cacciucco as one opf my favorite places. Great Food, Wonderful Atmosphere with Friendly Service 2/6/2007

My husband and I live in Sausalito and eat at Caccivcco once or twice a week. It's our favorite date place. We've probably had most of the dishes on the menu and they are all delicious and little different than you would see at a lot of Italian restaurants. The only thing better than the food is the wonerful, warm, and efficient service we receive consistently. more

There's not much to be said about Cacciucco that hasn't already been said. The food of course is fantastic. \r Unlike other Italian restaurants Cacciucco has unique dishes that are simultaneously traditional and exotic.\r It's a great people watching as well. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgable. If you can be adventurous, look beyond the ingredients and aren't looking for fettuccine Alfredo.......Cacciucco is the place for you!! I'm always happy when i discover a new good restaurant. The experience at Cacciucco has been simply fantastic, Amazing food, well prepare (fatto con il cuore), fresh pastas and thin crusted gourmet pizzas.\r I ordered Cacciucco the signature dish. a seafood stew full of big clams, scallops, lobster, octopous, calamari, prawns and more. It was very big but i happly managed to finish it. That dish only make already worth a visit at this place. But not only the food, they have an impressive wine list of only Italian wines.(i found this very refreshing).Well the manager/owner suggested the perfect wine match for our food and it was impeccable. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had a relaxing and fun dinner enjoy watching some local celebrity drinking at the bar and listening the fabulous jazz music on background.Fantastic restaurant, fun,trendy, well managed with superb food. Consistent, exceptional and enjoyable Italian 1/31/2007

The owner, Davide is from Livorno and all the recipes are authentic---handed down generation after generations.The service is very good, the food is truly exceptional--very consistent. Have had the pleasure of eating there multiple times and not only are we never dissapointed, we are suprised at how good the food is every time. Very good wine list (all Italians but very diverse) Absolutley worth dropping in for an outstanding meal. Back from Tuscany two weeks ago after a month of beautifull vacation with my wife.We try Cacciucco for the first time!! We felt like we were still in Florence, the food is authentic and not americanized, servers and most of the guest were Italians, they serve only Italian wine and italian ingredients.Who are they??\r All i know? They are doing a great job to offer authentic specialty from Tuscany.The restaurant is cozy and trendy at the same time. Best Italian in Marin!!! Romanti and charmy restaurant with excellent food!!!!!!!! 1/26/2007

My girlfriend and i visited this place last night, after reading such a great reviewes. We made reservation the same day. the place was not busy only few table, but very welcomy and charmy. At first we sat at the bar for a glass of wine and we asked few questions about the menu. The bartender/owner was very helpfull........suggesting various dishes out of the regular menu and some of the specials. We had couple of salad with baby spinach, pears and Pecorino chees, the honey dressing was delicious. We share the seafood crepes, today's special, the crab, prawns and mussels were fresh and cooked to perfection. At last\r we tried the lamb chops in red wine sauce with figs, we never had anithing like it.......simply wonderfull.\r Was hard not to order dessert they look delicious. We really enjoyed the evening and we agree with other reviewers. It is a great restaurant with fantastic food and excellent service. more

WE DISCOVER A GEM!! 1/25/2007

We had dinner for the first time on saturday with another couple. I have to say we were all very impressed. Everything looks delicious and was hard to make a choice, The server help us to finally decide . He suggested a great wine to go with our meal and couple of the most popular appetizer.s Not only we enjoy every bite but the whole experince was foboulous. We stay over two hours at the table, we were not rushed yet we received a complementary glass of port. A great restaurant with wonderfull ambiance...a gem!!! Been several times, always great!!! Cozy and romantic, perfect for a date or relaxing dinner. The servers are helpfull and friendly. Pastas and focaccia are homemade, fresh fish and game dishes are great choices too. I also enjoy dine at the bar counter and chat with local guests. We'll go back again soon!! Alway busy in cauzy way. Charmy ambiance and fantastic food always fresh and well prepared. They have a nice bar with a great selection of Italian wine.\r Service is excellent and prompt. More of a date place but is also a good choice for anice meal with a small group. more
