I'll admit I go into stores just for cash back sometimes (so I don't have to pay ATM fees).
I went into this CVS, and went up to the register. I gave the cashier my card, and said I wanted $100 cash back. She had not swiped the card yet, and said ""debit? The cash back limit is $35"" and swiped my card as I was asking her to cancel the transaction.
If she'd done it right - this would have been fine; I would have been able to cancel when asked for my pin. It didn't ask, because she'd done it as a credit card. She smugly said ""too late, already went through"" and I didn't even argue. Just decided not to come back to this CVS with their smug customer service tactics.
Pros: Neat assortment of stuff...
Cons: Cash-back limit is $35
