You need solid business skills, Accounting, record keeping, personal computing, communication. Pick your own loads, negotiate rates. The ability to plan loads while obeying regulations. A good driving record and good driving skills make you a instant winner. If you don't have a laptop and have never booked your own loads, you will have a very tough time making ends meets while you learn.
