After dissatisfaction at the SW Columbia location, I went to Bishops on NW 21st on a busy Saturday afternoon. Waiting customers overflowed onto the hot sunny sidewalk and there was an ""hour plus wait list."" I was told if I leave and come back I?d have to call back in a half hour or be crossed off the list. Too hot outside, I took a seat at the unused sinks. After a few minutes I noticed that, since I'd come in, all but one barber chair was empty and there were no stylists at any chair! A stylist did walk by an empty seat, put her cigs in her purse, checked her own makeup and hair, and disappeared. ""How many stylists are on today?"" I asked the receptionist. ""Six or seven,"" she said. ?Six or seven?? I said. She saw me look at all the empty chairs and said, ""Well we do a lot of color."" Confused, I asked if that meant they're all somewhere else. ""Well, someone could be on break, someone might be in the bathroom..."" She trailed off. I said to take my name off the list. On my way another employee who overheard this asked my name. I replied and he chirpily said, ""Bye, Mike!""
Pros: atmosphere when they're paying attention is good, usually offer you a free beer
Cons: no sense of urgency and to much color for ladies means guys wait longer for a stylist
