We hired CJ Morse to paint the exterior of our house. He told us that he and his crew of 4 or 5 men would finish the job in four days. We paid him the required deposit of $2497.50 the end of September, 2007. He worked for 2 days with one other person and then did not come back. Our calls to his business and cell phone went unanswered. He came back a month later after a family issue. He brought one person and painted one side of the house and some trim. He then stayed away for another week and a half, again without answering our phone calls. He returned early November and painted part of the deck when it was cold - the frost and snow on the deck the following two evenings prevented the paint from curing. He finally returned November 19th and started painting the house when it was 30 degrees outside with wet snow falling and rain predicted for that evening. He was rude and abusive and would not stop even though we asked him to. That evening the paint dripped and then washed off the house, revealing the darker color underneath. He informed us that he would ""be in touch"" and that he would finish the job ""first thing in the spring"". When we called in April, he did not answer or return our calls for three weeks. When he finally answered he asked us if we ""still wanted him to finish the job"". We told him yes, and that we wanted it done right. He said he would come to look at the house that week and still has not come (it is now July, 2008). He will no longer answer our calls. In addition to the paint continuing to wash off where he applied it when it was too cold, it is also now peeling off the side of the house he painted while it was still warm outside.
Cons: Poor workmanship, unreliable, rude, unresponsive
