Start forming in line around 4:30PM - Tommy sometimes opens 15 minutes early. Sit at horseshoe shaped bar for "ersters". I just love ordering a doz (no joke, you get 13-15) raw oysters to start, followed by another 1/2 dozen raw oysters, then 1/2 a peck of steamed oysters, then I top off my meal with either steamed shrimp or large, lump craw meat. No need for bread or other things - just Seafood. I also enjoy the crackers and iced tea served at the bar. I live in Smyrna, DE and we make the trip to Elizabeth City during oyster season (2-3 times) just to sample their delicious oysters. Service is great and sometimes, owner Tommy will take your check and payment himself. Super nice guy too!!
