My PSEG thermostat shorted out and had to be replaced. Ray was prompt, efficient and friendly. He explained each area he needed to check and showed me the problem and the resolution. I told him that I wanted to convert to a Nest thermostat and he prepped all of the wires for me to do the installation myself. He also gave me his cell number so I could ask questions and to let him know that all worked out ok, which I did. I definitely recommend C&D. more

I think they do a good job. I have used their services in the past to have a new air conditioning unit and heating unit installed, and they currently service our generator. I have also purchased other products through them, and so far, so good! What I like the most about them is that they are very upfront, and they always do what they say they're going to do. They have been an easy company to work with, and I'm happy to continue using their services. more

I lived in Warren NJ from 1981 till 2004, had a contract agreement with this company. they always reminded me of the due services and I always trusted them for any needed repairs including a a/c and furnace replacement, I sold my house in Warren bought another in North Plainfield. Had C&D servicing the new house as well. I moved to FL and still have a service agreement with them for the rental property. I wish they were in FL so I could have them servicing my house here as well more

Their staff members always are very prompt, accommodating, and responsive. If there are ever any emergencies that occur, I can rely on them to come out right away and take care of what needs to be done. I find their prices to be reasonable when compared with other companies, and I think they do a great job. more

I was a customer of C&D Cooling and Heating a couple years ago and they worked on my furnace. I was very happy with that experience. Then I called this other contractor recently looking for someone to do work on my AC unit and he recommended I try C&D. I said I had worked with them before and I gave them a call. The problem was that our AC wasn't keeping up with our cooling needs during a couple of days when it was really hot. The technician from C&D came out and checked the refrigerant level and found it to be a couple pounds low. He also injected some leak-stop fluid right where the refrigerant goes that will discharge a blue color if there are any leaks. Overall the job came to about $1000, which was more than I wanted to pay, but it was worth it for the service. I was very pleased. more

I think they do a good job. I have an annual contract with them for routine maintenance on my heating and air conditioning unit, and I've never experienced any issues with their service. Their staff is always friendly when speaking to me, they get the job done quickly, and they're responsive to my calls whenever I need something taken care of. I think they do a great job! I have been using their services for about sixteen years, and I have never had a bad experience with them. Most recently, they did repair work on my heater and air conditioning unit, then followed that up in the summer with routine maintenance, and everything is running smoothly. I've had a couple of emergency situations over the years, and they're always very responsive. We have been using C & D Cooling and Heating for fifteen to twenty years now. They're in charge of our regular maintenance and we definitely would not continue to use them unless they consistently provided us with excellent service. The last time I called in to schedule a service appointment, I let them know that they would have to come over on the weekend or after my office hours. They immediately said, what if we send someone in twenty minutes! I said yes, and they were there as promised. The young technician who came out to the house was really, really nice and did a good job. Another plus point for them is that they are located very nearby. Ray from C & D Cooling and Heating Company came and tuned up my 3 air conditioning units. He was great. He was friendly, warm, knowledgeable and thorough. He made some recommendations for the units and then made the recommended repairs. I trust this company and that is why I have and will continue to recommend them to other people. I would never use C & D Cooling and Heating. They were charging twice as much as another AC service, and when I talked to him, he was trying to justify his pricing for the service. I told him you can compare apples to apples, and although I'm sure they know their own services and businesses, I just think that there's no way that they could justify charging twice as much as other companies, no matter what they do. So bottom line, I just thought the pricing was ridiculous and I wouldn't use them. I called C&D because my attempt at wiring a whole house humidifier went awry. The tech quickly identified the problem and quickly had me up and running. It actually needed another part that I ordered and he showed me how to install it when it arrived saving me the money of another visit. Honest, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would certainly call them again if I have any other issues. more

My experience with C & D Cooling and Heating was great. Basically, the guy that came out showed up on time, reviewed the system, showed me what he was doing, and was very informative. I liked not just being left alone in the corner, I liked that it was an engaging experience. Specifically, I got a furnace tune-up. This was my first time using C & D Cooling and Heating. Based on my experience, I would use their services again. more
