Good selection 12/29/2005

This is a really good CD store. they have a huge selection of different types of CDs and the staff is very helpful. My only complaint is how small it is, its called CD Alley, because...its literally in an alley. Very small store makes it hard to get around in, especially if tehre are otehr people in the store at the same time you are. Otherwise, a pretty cool place. more

You could spends hours here! 8/26/2005

This store, located on Franklin street, is a mecca of music. It entices you in by it's disorganized view from the street and the rows of CD's along the walls. Honestly, you could spend hours looking through everything and of course, figuring out all of the things that you just have to have! If you are looking for some hard to find music, this is the place to go! more

decent selection 8/19/2005

The harder it is to find, the more likely it is that you'll come across it here. It gets high marks for having plenty of cool CDs, obscure and foreign music press, and a knowledgeable, helpful staff. Catch some of Chapel Hill's up-and-coming musicians tucked away in the corner during frequent in-store performances. Sure, it's small, hot and cramped, but you'll be sweating pure rock and roll. more

Truly an Alley of Cd's 7/2/2005

If you were going to shove a mess load of music in an alley, thats what Cd alley looks like. the store is long and thin and jam packed full of Cds. they also sells ssome DVDss and records. its a great place t go when your looking for a speciaal used CD or some vinal, but the store is seriouslyy disorganized so come ready to spend some time looking for what you need more
