I booked the butterhorn for my June 2008 wedding. Originally we looked for a place that could do cupcakes with fresh strawberries in them, and sugar cookies with our monograms. Butterhorn said they could do that, and we booked them. Two weeks before the wedding I was told they didn't have that flavor, but I could pick 2 others. I was a little upset because that is why I went with them, but went with it anyway. We picked the lemon poppy seed and a chocolate marble. The day of our wedding the cupcakes were in-edible! We were charged extra for the design and the size (which I never asked for the giagantic things we got), and all of the cupcakes were vanilla, with this rubbery topping instead of frosting. It tasted like they had been in a freezer for 6 months. The cookies looked like my mom and I decorated them, and were extremely hard, breaking off when you bit into them. Instead of putting them in individual wrapping for favors which was the original plan(and what I paid for), they were thrown on a platter and smeared all over the place. It was actually embarrassing. Both my mother and I have called and left messages for the owner, and have never gotten a phone call back. I even stopped in and was told she wasn't there. I am not the type to throw a fit, so I have let it go, but if you are considering cakes of any kind go to Blue Moon in Silverthorne. You'll be sorry with the way you are treated after the Butterhorn has your money. The owner was very accesible before the wedding, but once they had my money, they could care less. I will tell everyone I come across to avoid this place.
Pros: They are located in Frisco
Cons: terrible service, finished product not what I ordered
