Not Rude 7/24/2010

I moved to Point Pleasant about 7 months ago, I needed this prescription filled but I wanted to ask some questions about this cream... I must say the female pharmacist was very nice and helpful, she even said she uses this cream. Also the gift part of the store/pharmacy , they were nice as well. But, the prices are HIGH there. more

Pharmacy staff is rude 7/11/2010

The pharmacy is overpriced and the staff alternates between rudeness and stupidity. The pharmacists are the snottiest. The only reason I go there is because it is close to my house and I am tired of tracking over to the CVS in Pt. during the tourist season. The gift side gals are pretty nice.\r \r There is one newish associate at the pharmacy, he is a young male, who is super nice. I try to go in when he is there. Good luck to everyone who has to buy 'scripts there. more

What I think of Butler Pharmacy inc. 12/19/2009

I used to go to Butler's for my monthly prescriptions. I never really looked forward to going to drop or pick something up because the staff are not nice or courteous at all. Some do help, but others just have a plain nasty attitude. I have been shorted more than once on my prescriptions there. Plus, their products are highly overpriced! more

Butler Pharmacy Inc is behind on customer service. 11/15/2009

The pharmacy is okay and they deliver. The staff on the gift side are just plain rude. Don't go there between 330 and 5pm because all the staff cares about is quiting time/changing shift, not getting overtime and locking the frontdoor. This occured three times in a row and not once did someone offer assistance. I will spend my 100 dollars someplace else. Too bad, I would go back if the staff where friendly and helpful to someone they don't know yet. more

I like Butlers 2/24/2009

Butlers is what it is. A wonderful neighborhood pharmacy and gift shop. They go out of their way to ensure you get what you need. Yes, the pharmacy may be a little slow from time to time, but if you have ever been in there with a sick child, as I have been, they set aside the other orders to make sure the child has the medicine and can then get home and in bed.\r \r I recently needed a prescription special ordered and they were so happy to help. \r \r The gift side has always been gracious and helpful. I have lost count of how many teacher gifts have been purchased from there and wrapped with a smile.\r \r There are always two sides to a story and good for the Webkins mom that this is the biggest problem in her life. I try to look at the good in everything and just toss aside anything else.\r \r 100 years from now, will it really matter?\r \r Butlers, keep up the good work. more

WebkinsNut 12/11/2008

I'd like to respond to the woman and child chosing webkins. Do u really expect someone to stand over you for more than 20 minutes while ur child chooses a toy? and then u have the nerve to suggest that the associate was rude when she politely asked if you were ready so she might finally help you , and hopefully get u out\r of the store???? more

Perscriptions no more at Butlers 7/27/2008

I shop at Butlers regularly. They are great for a card or small gift. You have to know which counter to check out at. I have had some very friendly positive experiences with the staff. Its the Pharmacy I can no longer stand. The wait for medication is ridiculous. Tell them you will wait and it's at least an hour. Tell them you will be back latter and it is NEVER ready. I have dropped off scripts one day said I would be back later in the day and when I show up the next day they are like "oh were filling that right now" My family and I are fed up with wait at the pharmacy counter! Rite Aid on 88 it is. more

in reference to lady buying webkinz 7/20/2008

Maybe the cashier had better things to do then stand around and wait for you. she probaly saw snot written all over your face. i would have walked away too! more

butlers 11/7/2005

although butlers is also a store that sells a bunch of over priced stuff, they are mainly known for their pharmacy. the pharmacy is pretty standard. the service is pretty good although you will always get a few people that you do not like. but this place takes many different kinds of insurance and usually has your medication ready in the time frame they say, give or take half an hour. more

Owner Message
  • It all began in October of 1955 when Edward A Butler opened the door of Butler Pharmacy on Bridge Avenue. Norman Beyer would be hired as a young pharmacist in 1957. He would take over ownership of the store in 1970 until 2016. At this time he turned it over to his daughter Tracye Beyer Steel who followed in her dad's footsteps and is also a pharmacist. Today the store still operates as a family business run by the owner Tracye Steel with her son, Benjamin Steel, becoming an important part of the operation as the 3rd generation.

Butler Pharmacy has been serving the community for 64 years. Customers keep coming back not only for the pharmacy services but for the wide variety of merchandise and selection of fine gifts. There is a reputation of great service, friendly help and a truly gorgeous store. Our loyal customers enjoy seeing familiar faces from the owner and employees whom have helped them over the years.
