Don't Eat Here! 12/28/2011

Went to Butch's at a family member's insistence. He said it was the best italian place in the area...oh boy. As it turns out, we had to wait in a cold reception area, then had such slow service that some members of our party still don't have what they ordered. But it gets worse...we found a moving bug in our shrimp cocktail and the server offered to bring out the number of shrimp we hadn't already eaten. The bill was very pricey for mediocre food. I guess there's no charge for bugs...no accountability either. Eat here at your own peril! more

Caution - Use Cash!!! 9/1/2010

I visited Butch's Italian for the first, and I must say, last time last week. Food was ok, service was fair, but what has me upset is this. I was paying with a credit card and when it came to be signed, I realized that instead of it reading $6.35 it read $8.49. It was redone and I was assured that all I would be charged was $6.35. Going online to check my account I see that I have been not only charged $8.49 AND $6.35 but also, as of today there is another charge in the amount of $7.55. more

Butch's is a nice place and very friendly. The food was so so, at least for the price. 2 meals with water to drink and tip was 32.00. It doesn't have the wow this is great food. Pros: Fast seating ,great people Cons: price more

Hidden Gem - A must for Italian food lovers 5/14/2009

We went there with an open mind and was very happy for doing so. The food was great and the timing was perfect. Plenty of time for talking, but never rushed. I would go back there again and recommend it to anyone who likes great Italian food. Pros: Great Food more

wow 2/13/2009

Today was the second time my husband and I have been to Butch's. It was REALLY good! I had the Chicken Armando (Awesome!) and my husband got the Eggplant Parm. Sandwich which is big. It was really good and not expensive. It remind's me of Carrabba's without the cost. more

excellent italian dishes 1/7/2009

We are regulars at Butch's and enjoy the homemade dishes as well as the homemade garlic butter with red onion and the bread that you can actually eat and doesn't hurt your mouth like most places serve. We have never had anything greasy from this place! A great order is the lasagna with chicken parmesan inside. It is no longer on the menu but they will be happy to make it for you special. They also have fabulous homemade desserts that come from a local woman. This is not the only restaurant in Canal Winchester. Pros: great food Cons: pricey more

THE CHICKEN ARMANDO IS TO DIE FOR! THE SALAD IS MADE WITH LEAFY GREENS AND PASTAS AND OTHER LITTLE SURPRISES TOPPED WITH FRESH ITALIAN DRESSING. THE WEDDING SOUP AND BREAD ARE EQUALLY AS GOOD. Bad dinner for two at Butch's 12/4/2008

If you like warm soup, refrigerated soft italian bread, and eggplant parm swimming in grease or rigatoni in butter and romano, except the butter is margarine, then hurry to Butch's. Cons: cold and greasy food more

great food. great service. I think its the only italian restaurant in canal winchester. lasagna,& chicken parmigiana are the best in columbus. more
