Busse's Lock Service, LLC

I recently needed a second key made for my Daughter's 2003 VW New Beetle. I called around to several businesses and found that it was very expensive to have a laser cut key with transponder made. I first called around to the local dealerships and then to a few other businesses in the area that specialize in making keys. Both the dealerships as well as the other business explained to me that the process of creating and programming the key took a lot of work. In fact, the dealerships charge an hour of labor to program the key. My brother gave me the idea to call a locksmith and I did. I call Busse's Lock Service. It was my first experience with them. I told them what I needed. They made the key for me in minutes. Yes minutes on an hour. And, it was at half the cost of the other businesses quoted me. more

This locksmith did not know whether he had the correct equipment. He did not mention that we needed to get the particular lock or make any suggestions. Nor did he say that there was a $75 service fee to take a look. We called back with the correct locks, and he want to pre-authorize our credit card. We did,(big mistake). Decided to do something else and cancelled. He had already taken out $200 in a pending transaction. We will now have to either dispute or get him to refund the transaction. I also cancelled the card. more
