So we take our baby to the ER. Pay the copay, all is good. Got Inusrance statement/bill, all is good. Get bill/statement from hospital, all is good. 14 months later we see this collection on our credit report. The ER doc got the wrong info to file. The hospital had the right info to file. The doc had the wrong address. The hospital had the right address. So since ""we"" didn't ""pay"" the doc we have a collections account that is delinquent. So the Brain child I spoke with at this collection agency gave no way for explanation and said it couldn't be retracted until payment is fulfilled. We didn't get a bill from this agency - because the address was wrong (hospital had the right address). Since the brain child didn't listen to any concerns of my objectively, we have no other means of resoultion except court action. So we will win because WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING INCORRECT. The doc's office did and they will be named in the court documents as well!!!
Pros: there are none unless your doctors office hired a bunch of illiterate idiots
Cons: everything under the sun if you're trying to resolve any deragatory credit submissions
