I have been studying Martial Arts Since I was about five. My Father was in the Military so we Moved around quite a bit, I hold Black belt Rank in both Shorin Ryu, and Tang Soo Do, as well as Goju Ryu(a Brown belt. I have been studying Martial Arts for about 15 years now. The last 5 of which I have studied at Bushidokai with LoPriore Sensei. He is quite an amazing teacher, but not only that he teaches an amazing art! This art is principle based and has within in eight arts that all integrate to form one truly beautiful art. The eight arts are First Art - Energy Cultivation (Ki Waza / Qigong), Second Art - healing arts like Shiatsu (LoPriore Sensei Teaches a very high level professional shiatsu program, teaching high level acupuncture theory for application in shiatsu), Third Art - Kosho Shorei Yoga & Jumping Arts, Fourth Art - Escaping Arts, Fifth Art - Philosophy (Kosho Shorei Ryu is based on Taoism, Buddhism, and Shinto Philosphies). Sixth Art - The Folding Arts, Seventh Art - Meditation, Eighth Art - The Arts of War(or Martial Arts). These all combine and integrate to make one amazing art. LoPriore Sensei also teaches a great kids program, my younger brothers of 13 and 15 trained for quite a while before getting caught up in the sports that they both enjoy by the way. This Dojo is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me, it is a true treasure, a diamond in the rough, a needle in the haystack. This is a quality art taught by a great teacher who is not out their to get your money and give belts out like candy. He is so they say the real deal.
