I am not too escastic with this company. For the amount of money per child per week, I feel as if the summer camp is overpriced and overrated. Most of the "teachers" are teenage children, and most of the activities touted by this company are misrepresented. For example, the horse back riding is a hoax. Yes, the children do get to ride a horse. For all of five minutes. No instruction or lesson is given. The children ride with someone holding the horse next to them. While this does maintain safety, this is the equivalent to a county fair where you pay $5 for your kid to sit on a pony. I don't think for the price of the camp this is acceptable.
Also, most of the time, my children were swimming all day. While great exercise, I do not feel that by the children swimming, this constitutes day camp. It felt more like the YMCA, which is a great facility, however, Camp Chippawa is supposed to be a step above others, which is why I was lured into paying their exorbant fees.
Never again. BTW, all the children ate was fast food each day from different chain restaurants. No way is that decent nutrition.
