The practice places more emphasis on making the visit fun than anything else, which is good and bad. Good for the kids; but as a parent, I feel I get very little time with the dentist discussing my children's dental concerns/needs. I was a bit annoyed when I was quoted for a silver filling but was billed for a white filling (not covered by insurance in full). As such, I was quoted one thing and billed another. Made me so mad!!! I called and fought the difference because they failed to explain to me the difference between the two fillings and their cost. I was told "silver fillings are not done here" and so I ended up being charged for a white filling, which is much more expensive. Ironically, my daughter's friend came to my house sporting a new silver filling from Burg Pediatric Dentistry. I was lied to and decieved. Worse yet, the white filling was placed on a BABY tooth that will eventually fall out!! What the hell were they thinking? It cost me and my insurance a fortune for something that will last two months! Make sure their staff is up front with you on EVERYTHING--ask your options, difference in cost, what is/isn't covered by your insurance. The office staff are children themselves and they don't know all the ins and outs. BEWARE!!!!
