What a shock. You always expect the worst when calling a plumber, but the guy who came out from Burfitt was nothing short of fantastic! I've been pressured by service people before, but there were no up-sells and I never once felt uncomfortable about the price. I would definitely recommend. more

Just wanted to say Thank You! I am very pleased with the work that was done at my house. I had a drain cleaning company one of those ROOTER outfits clean my drain line from the house out and they said it needed to be replaced. They quoted me $8,500 and said they would have to open up my basement floor to access the old drain and bring in all this new piping. I would have to move alot of things around in order to do this. I had a second opinion from Burfitt Plumbing who came out and camera'd the line. They found the line didn't need replaced it only had a separation at the rain drain connection to the sewer and could be repaired but did recommend replacement as an alternative. They're replacement cost was $5784.00 and did not need to enter my house or open my basement floor. The work was scheduled and completed in one week. tow weeks later you can't even tell they were here my yard and home look great and no more sewer problems! Called on a Monday (probably a busier day for plumbers, I'd think) asking for a quote to install a toilet and a ""how soon can it be done"" inquiry. Was put on hold for about 2 minutes and was pleased to hear ""$149, and someone can be out there within 1-4 hours"". Pretty simple stuff! They were at my place an hour later. The actual cost turned out to be $99 more to replace the rusted/crusted up bolts from the flange. I thought that $99 seemed a bit steep, but I wasn't really psyched to do the work myself or shop it, so I said go for it. The plumber also mentioned a $39 ""service call"" charge, which I told him I wasn't aware of/it wasn't quoted, so he waived it. Toilet works. End of story! These guys refuse to give you any idea of their pricing schedule over the phone, then they charge you a fee to come to your house to give an estimate, and then their estimates are incredibly high and not based on any measure they are willing to disclose (i.e. by the hour or type of job.) We called them to put in a sink. They wouldn't tell us what they charge over the phone (evidently they don't charge by the hour or the type of job- it's a mystery.) We had them come out and paid the fee to get the estimate. They said they wanted $350 to put in a sink- a job they said would take 45 minutes!!! Outrageous! more
