I had to order online first time but their Glen answered all the questions thrown at him while making a pest of myself...he showed he appreciated my business and the only way I was going to reward him was to make my order and not just make it an enquiry.Patience and sincerity in everyday business dealing is lacking these electronic shopping days but Glen bucks the trend.Visit his well displayed and easily navigable online store if you can't make it to the store and if you can't find the things you are looking for,email Glen for help!Happy New Year to All! Great little shop! 3/16/2009

I visited here on a Sunday, and the 2 fellows behind the counter really bent over backwards to try to find me the right painting supplies for my cheap little Boy Scout project. They wouldn't sell me the expensive packet of sandpaper on their wall, but sent me down the road a couple of blocks to OSH for a better grit that they didn't have. I came back later and bought this great model-making foil to dress up the ""rocket"" and it looks dynamite! Pros: Helpful, honest, friendly Cons: mainly for model makers more

House of Hobbies 11/2/2005

Not only is this place close to a great many attractions (Los Angeles Zoo, Gene Autry Museum, Travel Town..) but it's a great little hobby shop! They have a wide selection of hobby items for all your scale needs as well as things like airbrushes! Which is just a fantastic extra and their prices are great! Their website is also well worth checking out, a great store that I would recommend to any hobbist! more

For a tiny, nondescript shack of a store, it's incredibly well stocked with many different types of hobby-merchandise. From simple, sci-fi model kits to diecast cars to complete train sets, this place has it all--or they'll order it for you. PROS: cool, varied selection, laid-back but helpful staff CONS: short hours, not the biggest selection more
