Horrible Food, Horrible Service, Horrible Management 2/8/2009

We gave this place a try again last night thinking something might have changed in 3 the years since we have last been. Well, it hasn't. We had a rude server who acted as if we should be honored to be seated at his table, the steaks we ordered were bland and tasteless oh, and the empty light socket at the table with no lampshade that my 3 yr old tried to stick her fork in really topped things off. We gave the place another shot only because our first two choices in restaurants both had one hour waits. Normally we would have waited but it was a little late and we were really hungry. I called Bugaboo Creek to inquire about the wait and there wasn't one. Obviously that should have been a warning ( and in the back of my mind it was) that the place wasn't up to par. The management did very little to make things right and the table directly on the other side of us had another manager apologizing to them because obviously they had a problem. Anyway, long story short, we will pass up Bugaboo Creek and wait the one hour to get a decent meal at the nearby resturaunts to this location. Pros: There is not a long wait on a Saturday night. Cons: The food, the service and the whole vibe in the place is bad. more

Good food 8/19/2008

I like this place because the food is good and the service it pretty good. I think the decor is a tad on the cheesy side but I can deal with it. Everyone we go with really like and have some laughs when the moose heads start talking. I will def go again...oh it is a bit slow so bring your patience with you. Pros: Food, parking, service Cons: cheesy decor more

Slow service 8/17/2007

I do not mind preparing the food being slow but the service from the serving staff itself is way to slow. They do not seem to energized for this type of restaurant. The food well it was OK but most of it was overcooked. I guess if my kids where still young they might enjoy it but for my adult teast it is less then average.\r \r Cons: The staff more

A favorite - exceptional owner and/or management at this location 12/27/2006

We've eaten here several times. The only place that the owner actually comes to your table in the middle of a Friday night full house to greet you and see what YOU might need, or to listen to complaints face to face. We bring our daughters sometimes, but it's cozy enough for the two of us. A bit of a wait, which is why I did not give it a 10... you do have to wait to be seated, and then to get your food it does seem a little longer than average. But, they are busy. Lots of families with kids dine here, so it's not exactly a romantic atmosphere UNLESS you go to the bar area. There is a lot of cozy seating there. My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary here, eating off the lunch menu. We got a complimentary fudge cake. Nice waitress who bent over backwards. It definitely isn't as noisy and chaotic as Outback, but parallel to Longhorns. I think the steak at Bugaboo may be better than both. We have never had a bad meal there. The waitresses definitely earn their tips! The stuffed animals are a bit creepy to me, but it's okay and quite a novel idea... I just love going there with my husband and sharing bites of steak. To me, it's one of the best medium to high priced steakhouses in Cobb County if not THE best. BTW, the desserts are worth going for even if you don't get dinner. Coffee is so-so. Enjoy. Pros: Atmosphere, Food Selection, Extremely Good Food Quality, Management and Service, Can Be Cozy For Two At Right Times/Days Cons: The Wait. A Little Pricey, Can Be Noisy At Times more

Slow service 11/24/2006

Maybe we should try again but our first trip to this restrauant was not a good one. We had slow slow service and the food was average at best. We were not impressed at all and had hoped we could find another retrauant that we could add to to our fave list but this did not make it. Pros: We liked the ambience Cons: We did not like average food and slow service. more

Just OK Steakhouse 11/20/2006

I've got a friend with 2 small kids and she likes this restaurant, but I've never been too crazy about it. For starters, there are stuffed moose heads on the wall that talk and when it's your birthday you have to kiss this big moose head being carted around. The first time I ate there my salmon was mushed together with everything else on my plate and left much to be desired as far as the presentation was concerned. It didn't even taste all that great, either. The second time was better and I had grilled chicken but as long as it's up to me, I probably won't choose to go back here. Pros: Family-Friendly, Easy Location Cons: So-So Food, Kinda Cheesy more

Like the talking moose 11/9/2006

I have been here several times and have had a great experience every time. The food is good, LOVE the big foot chocholate cookie desert, and the reastaurant is entertaining with the talking moose with other moving animals. Pros: Great food and location Cons: Can get kind of noisy more

Bad.... 8/17/2006

Nothing against one armed people, but a one armed server for a table of 8? Our food took an hour, it was burnt, undercooked, and wrong. We didn't get half of what we ordered. Nice thing was, management comped it so we didn't have to pay for it, but when you have a boss who clock-watches your lunch hour, you don't want to wait around for bad food and still be late. Pros: management Cons: food, service more

Great food and service. 7/14/2006

My friends and I love to go to Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse. The management and staff always go out of their way to make each visit special. The food is great, and they always seems to have something new to try each time we go. Whether it's steak or one of the pasta dishes, we're never disappointed. Even though we're usually stuffed from our meal, we never seem to be able to resist one of the wonderful desserts! Bugaboo is always our choice for a great dinner out with friends. more

Great atmosphere/great steaks 7/11/2006

Bugaboo Creek is one of my family's favorite places to eat. Whether it's the whole family, or just my husband and I, it never fails to please all of us. The steaks and ribs are the best around, service is friendly, prompt, and customer oriented. The atmosphere is relaxed and offers excellent coctails, (especially the Moose Juice!), and deserts. more

FIRST CHOICE FOR DATE NIGHT , FAMLY NIGHT, or BUSINESS LUNCH 7/10/2006

Bugaboo is our absolute favorite place to eat. The servers are always warm and friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious. We love everything from the spinach dip to the big foot cookie. The offer great combo meals tha satisfy even my hearty appetite, my favorite is the filet and shrimp. If you go you definately need to try the MOOSE JUICE. and dont worry you havent had too much to drink the animals really do talk. It is a great place to go for just a quick meal as well as a special evening. We take out of towners there for an entertaining meal. If you have a birthday in your group be sure to tell them so you can kiss the moose. Pros: wide selection for hearty appetites or nibblers Cons: sometimes long waits ... so call ahead to save time more
