The Buffalo Zoo is highly underrated. Where else can you have so much fun with friends, or introduce your children to the wonderful animal kingdom?

Buffalo Zoo 4/8/2006

I’m not a big fan of this zoo located near Delaware Park in Buffalo. They have made a lot of renovations but this place is more depressing than fun. I wish they had better facilities for the animals. I also wish they had more animals. This is such a boring zoo. I really try staying away from here. more

Nice Zoo 3/25/2006

The Buffalo zoo is a typical small / mid sized city zoo. It does not come close to comparing to the San Diego or Denver zoos. But for Buffalo it is a nice place to spend a relaxing summer afternoon. The spread of the zoo allows for movement and a relaxing stroll while watching the various animals. The zoo does occasionally get more unique exhibits in on loan. more

The Buffalo Zoo is one of the nicest Zoo's that we have been too 9/7/2005

The Buffalo Zoo is one of the nicest Zoo's that we have been too. The prices are reasonable. There are so many different kinds of animals to see. I love the fact that my children can see the animals in a natural habitat setting. The Zoo staff is always friendly and very informative. My family loves going here. more

Da Zoo 8/28/2005

The Buffalo Zoo can use some support. Its been there since I was a small child. It seems it needs updating and they really need to work on the parking situation. I mean they slam you for zoo admission and then they want to charge for parking if you can't find something around the corner. The zoo I think could use more animals and more work. They've never changed anything and many things are closed whenever I go. I do love when they have the baby animals on display like the baby gorillas. They will do something special like that from time to time. The petting zoo is great for the children. But if you've done any traveling and have been to other zoos in different cities the Buffalo zoo doesn't even compare. It does take all day to walk around the zoo. The price to get in is reasonable. I think the concession stands are ridiculous. I think the zoo needs work. But it is still a nice place to go they do have a lot of animals to see. Its ancient and has been around forever. more

This is the one and only zoo that I know of in this city, and boy is it good. It has been built on a huge area, and the animal enclosures hence are big and spacious. They have all kinds of animals from around the world including zebras, giraffes, lions, tigers, gorillas. They also have a separate reptiles sections which has many different types of snakes, lizards and other kinds of reptiles. They also have fun activities held over there, including a petting zoo which is great for kids. This is definitely worth a visit. more
