Western Style 1/13/2006

The Buffalo Gap has been a feature of the John’s Landing strip for so many years it is almost an antique. As the area has transitioned from a working class neighborhood to a trendy strip of town homes, the Buffalo Gap continues to stand the test of time. A western style atmosphere and good old-fashioned pioneer service, it offers a casual dining experience. While not a small place, it is filled with various cavities and nooks to dine in which makes you feel tucked in and cozy. This diner is a nice place to enjoy some comfortable conversation with food that warms you from the inside out. more

Atmosphere..urban cowboys found here 1/6/2006

In the refined almost-Lake Oswego edge of Portland this little bar seems almost out of place. It's western theme and intentionally clunky arrangement seem right out of the bar on Days of Our Lives. However, the food is good, there are plenty of places to talk quietly as well as be in plain sight if you want to be seen. The restrooms are clean and the service is fast. To their credit, the wait staff are not overdone in cheesy costumes, but their attitude certainly got a tip out of me! Food is acceptable and the beer offering is wide. more
