As a saxophonist, I've gotten to travel all over the country, and I can say without a doubt that Rigo's Buena Vista Cigar Club is the best cigar lounge in this country. Hands down. The cigar selection is good - maybe not the biggest humidor when compared to some of the members only lounges in LA, but I've always found a few cigars there that I've had before and really enjoyes. Plus Rigo turned me on to some new cigars that I'd never tried. Second, his bar selection is very good, especially if you like rum. He let me and a couple friends sample some of the 'sipping' rums after we depleted his stock of Sailor Jerry rum. I recently came upon the Buena Vista Cigar Club and I was stunned at how perfect it fit my idea of a great cigar lounge. Not only did Rigo have a great selection of stogies, but Rigo also has a full bar. He made me a real Cuba Libre, provided a great Arturo Fuente and we talked about baseball and other important matters. Decorated as a lodge (it was decorated before he bought it 5 years ago), the Buena Vista is a warm, hospitable lounge where you are free to sit back and relax among the numerous tables and comfortable chairs. One regular noted however, that on fridays or saturdays, the seats are full - get there early. Perfection! more

It is certainly a well run cigar bar that provides smokers (non smokers are welcome too) the pleasure of not only buying a good quality cigar but also to enjoy it while drinking your favorite cocktail. Decorated like a hunter's cabine it is a warm & couzy bar that combines sports with cuban music under a dark & relaxing ambiance. Conveniently located, it is open from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am. This place is BH's best-kept secret. Family-run cigar bar with a chill vibe. Drinks are strong, w/live Jazz and Cuban music on weekends and there's a great secluded loft where you can kick back with your mistress. Gets local service indsustry types late, and the after-dinner crowd early on. The best part about this, is that it's one of the last places you can smoke indoors. Cigar selection is great and reasonably priced. Joint is cozy and resembles more a hunting lodge than a Cuban social club, but the deerheads on the walls bring their own charm. I love going there because the parking is free and easy right off little santa monica.
