The food is delicious, but everytime I have been there 5+ times, I have always gotten bad service, the food comes out wrong, or the waiter is no where to be seen, ao now I just get takeout more

What an experience! I felt like I knew what it was like to be in old Italy! It is very popular on the weekend evenings, and there was an appx. 30 min. wait, so the hostess was passing out free appetizers while we waited (that in itself was a first for me at any restaurant). The nostalgic and original ambience really takes you away to another place and time and is only surpassed by the astounding taste and quality of the food! It was so delicious! A perfect gourmet meal for sure. Unbelievable. The portions really are huge and meant for sharing so it is recommended to get several different items and everyone can share. I went with my husband and child but I am sure this would be a great place for groups. My 4 year old enjoyed it as well and the waitstaff did try to keep him entertained. It is not a stuffy atmosphere so it's not a big deal to have an energetic child. more

this place has it all: best italian food, lovely ambience, and a quaint wine bar. i have never tried such great italian food anywhere - and the portions are family-size meaning HUGE. the desserts are equally superb. the tiramisu is a nice generous helping with a hint of rum, but nevertheless, it satisfies the palette as well as the succulent cannollis. i love how they personalize your dining experience by walking you through their kitchen and giving you a tour of the quaint restaurant. the decors are amazing: literally thousands of little treasures, trinkets and "odds-and-ends" adorning every inch of the walls. for wine lovers try the house wine or chiantis. the staff was friendly and accomodating. great place to have a bday dinner. truly an enjoyable dining experience~!* Pros: food, ambience, dessert Cons: crowded more

The beautiful flowers on the flower boxes by the front door give you the feeling that this place gives only the best. The host staff is friendly and helpful. Each server greets you and cares for you as their own table, so even if your server has several other tables, you never a lack in service. The food, oh my gosh the food is unreal!! It is THE BEST ITALIAN food in the state of Texas. The marinara sauce is made fresh every day!! The servings are meant to be shared, and that's an understatement!! The atmosphere is so layed back, you really feel like your at Christmas dinner with a real Italian Family in Italy! You truely feel like a part of the familia when you leave. After you gather your shopping bags (all the left over food) you are almost bombarded by the "Thank you"s and "Come Back and See Us Soon"s; I have to tell you that this is great- to actually be thanked for dinning here. If you are looking for a place to talk to the people next to you (in a normal "12-inch rule" voice), this is NOT the place for you! It is soooooo loud. The menu is written on the walls in the specific rooms (each room symbolizes something different - for example, the vineyeard has vines/grapes on the ceiling) and if you are in the wrong seat, it is difficult to see the menu.
