New to the area, my husband and I noted this business when passing by. We own a more uncommon to rare breed, a Wheaten Terrier, and because of the rarity, my husband made a point to stop in to assure that the salon knew how to cut/groom the breed; owner was seemingly very nice and appeared to be sincere. Our Wheaten had recently undergone surgery, and thus, we were unable to have her groomed for an extended period. This particular breed 'LOOKS' similar to Schnauzer, but the coat is VASTLY dissimilar. Wheaten coats are like that of sheep; it is 'wool-like' and when ungroomed can APPEAR matted when it is NOT. We went out of town, had our adult son drop our girl off and what was returned to us was a SHAVED dog; they called my son twice asking about Wheatens and indicated that they had no reference materials available. They indicated that they were cutting her short; her once 3 inch coat was cut to 1/8 of an inch all over; absolutely HORRIBLE and very unwilling to discuss their errors. The owner/mgr defended their position, took NO accountability for their errors. If I were you, I would RUN in the opposite direction from this poor excuse for a Grooming Salon.
