This is the closest supermarket to my house, off highway 72, so I'm often running there on my way home or from home to pick up a few things. Since it's become Southern Market, there's been a bunch of positive changes made. It pretty much looks the same as Bruno's, but they've gotten a lot more competitive and have better specials. It's not 24 hours anymore, but I didn't have many pressing 3 am grocery needs to begin with, so that's not so terrible. They have great markdowns on deli and meats if you have good timing, (unadvertised sales), usually after 7 or 8 pm in the evening. I've gotten chicken breasts for $1 a pound (boneless), ground beef for .99/lb, and other great specials. I know a lot of families don't get out that late, but it's great for couples or singles on a budget.
