It was our anniversary, and we decided to try Bruno's. We had never eaten there before, but had experienced the food through various take out parties, and it was always good. The beginning was grreat, it was a Friday night, crowded house, but the hostess was friendly, and seated us promptly. We were immeadiately brought our water, and it was only a moment before the waitress took our drink orders. Not bad, I thought, prompt, even on a crowded night. We had ordered an appetizer with our drinks, and it was prompt in arrival also. At this point, promptness ceased to exist.. It seemed longer than normall for our waitress to return for our meal order, and I tried to overlook it since it was a full house. Then, our main course was a long time arriving, nearly 45 minutes after we had ordered, but it was hot. At this point my wifes water was empty, but no one seemed to notice. We began eating, and I finally gave my water to my wife since no one seemd concerned about her empty glass. No one ever came to ask about my tea either. My wife said her meal was good, but my calzone was the blandest tasting thing I've ever eaten. I did not enjoy it. When we had finished, we had a small portion of my wifes dinner we wanted to take home, so we sat with no water, and no tea, with our hands in our laps, and watched every hostess, bus person, and a couple of the cooks file by our table. No ne seemed concerned about our glasses or why we weren't eating. Our waitress hadn't been seen since the food was delivered. Finally, after sitting idle for 15 minutes, another person we had never seen came to our table and I expressed my displeasure. She offered us desert on the house (a bright moment), but we asked for our check so we could leave. When she came back with the check, she had ours and another tables too. I handed her my card, and she went to ring us out. Upon her return, I started to sign the recipet, and she stoped me, she had rung the other tables meal on my card and our meal on their card, so she had to go and run refunds, then rerun the transactions.....after two hours we finally got out of that place and have no intention of returning....Happy Anniversary Honey!
