Bruni's Pizza Is One of the Best! 10/8/2011

My wife and I ate at Bruni's Pizzeria tonight for the first time. The pizza was great! Excellent ingredients and a thin crust made it one of best pizza's we have had in a long time. We highly recommend the place. They do not accept credit cards, cash and checks only. They sell only pizza, chips and soda, but worth the trip. We were on our way to the Eagle Theatre to see CHICAGO The Musical. We also greatly recommend the Eagle Theatre and the Collaborative Stage Productions (the new resident theatre company). more

GREAT Pizza is back in Hammonton! 3/18/2008

I am not from the area. Just started working in town of Hammonton. I have heard a lot about this place. We LOVE it! Great thin crust - not real heavy - ECXELLENT! Glad we found it. The original Bruini's give these owners their blessing! Pros: Great Pizza Cons: Limited menu more

Only Bruni's 11/16/2006

Only at Bruni's do you have to pick up your pizza - there is no delivery. Only at Bruni's do you have to order a whole pie - they don't sell by the slice. Only at Bruni's do you have to pay cash or check (and then only if they know you) - they do not accept credit cards. Only at Bruni's do you have NO other choice of side orders, salads, hoagies, cheesesteaks, etc. - they ONLY sell pizza. There is a reason for this only at Bruni's. They make the BEST pizza in the world. No, I haven't tried all of the pizza in the world, but one bite of Bruni's lets me know they are the BEST hands down. You don't even need to try other pizzas because you will know that Bruni's is the BEST! Hammonton is full of Catholic-Italians - during lent, you will wait 3-4 hours on a Friday night for pizza. They open at 4:00 pm and are closed on Mondays so, plan ahead and pick up that phone to order as soon as the magic hour rolls around! No one knows what the secret ingredient is in Bruni's pizza, or what makes it so delcious. People only know it is by far the tastiest pizza you will EVER eat! more

Been eating at Bruni's since i was 8 6/21/2006

Bruni's pizza is unmatched. For as long as I can remeber Thursday was pizza night. My dad used to go to Bruni's when they where owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bruni and claims it was better then. I think the quality has gone down over the years but the pizza is still simply the best around. The secret is this: they put the mix of cheese on first then the sauce on top of the cheese. It makes for a different pizza....The cheese don't fall off!! 1. Bruni's 2. Mac @ Manco's in O.C Pros: Location, the pizza Cons: they have bad hours...closed on Monday more

You'll either love it or hate it 1/6/2006

Bruni's makes a very different pizza from the average. I know a lot of people who rave over it and claim it's the best ever. It has a very thin, almost cracker texture crust. If you like crunchy pizza, then this is the place for you. I think the best way to describe it is bland tomato sauce on matzo. When we ordered a white pizza once, we asked for chopped tomatoes as a topping and they didn't offer them. It's not worth the drive if you're not local. more

old fashoned value & service 10/11/2005

I've been esting Bruni's since they opened when I was 12. I'm 56 now Nothing fancy just good pizza. I've had pizza in every maj. city in US. I always compare to Bruni's Mr & Mrs Bruni are still around they grow the best tomatoes and vegs wich they sell in their front yard about 1 mi. from shop. more

Best pizza in South Jersey 7/26/2005

I grew up eating Bruni's pizza. I was a customer when the original owners had the place. I always just knew them as Mr. and Mrs. Bruni. They are now owned by different owners but the pizza and the owners now are just as good as I remember. When in Hammonton visiting no visit of mine is complete without a stop at Bruni's. I have tried alot of pizza places but Bruni's always standsout in my mind. You are still greeted when you come in and get a thank you and good bye when leaving. Keep the place the way it is. Bruni's will always be number one to me. Can't wait to visit Hammonton again. Pros: Delicious pizza Cons: Not open on Mondays more

One of the best in the Philly area? 7/12/2005

When I came across Bruni's Pizza in Hammonton, NJ as one of the best pizza joints in the Philly area, I drove my family 45 minutes from SE Atlantic County to try them out. Place was empty. What few customers they had were carry out. Pizza was OK but nothing to write home about. My kids enjoy Little Caesar's and spiced up Chef Boy R Dee in the box better. If you live close, it is fine but don't spend any driving time just to check this place out. Pros: Not crowded, thin cracker crust Cons: 4 to midnight only, cash only, limited drink refills more

From Best To Worst 11/6/2004

I am 32 and I have been eating Bruni's pizza for as long as I can remember. Like others I remember when Mr Bruni handed all the kids a couple slices of peperoni when they walked in. I even remember the old mechanical chest vending machine along the back wall. So it breaks my heart to write this review. I last reviewd this place in 2004 and gave it the highest rating possible. Since then Bruni's has sold to its 3rd generation of owners. Unlike the second generation they are not following Mr. Bruni's original recipie. They insist on making it their own way and to be quite honest its garbage. I must now give them the lowest rating. The pizza is much thicker now, different tasting gravy, different sausage, different look. And none of these differences are for the better. I hope that the new owners come to their senses. I have talked to many other long time patrons that seem to have the same view. So please save your money because the once loved Bruni's is now gone. Cons: Quality, consistency, tradition not followed more

Childhood favorite 9/28/2004

I've been going to Bruni's since I was 10 (now 21), when my parents discovered the place (only 10 minutes from our house, i don't know why we didn't discover it earlier). When it comes friday. my mom calls ahead our order, we get there it's ready and pipping hot, i can never wait, i always burn my tounge (it's worth the little burn, the pizza is THAT GOOD). There is not a better place in South Jersey to get a good slice. more

That's Italian! 7/18/2002

Bruni'z Pizzeria, located on 12th Street (Rt. 54) in Hammonton, NJ is easily accesed via Exit 28 from the Atlantic City Expressway. Bruni's Pizzeria is exactly that, a pizzeria! Here you will not find subs, baked pasta, salads, or even bread sticks. At Bruni's Pizzeria, you will only find PIZZA, a tomato pie with the best gravy I've ever tasted on a pie, topped with a smattering of cheese. Bruni's has NO specials, and offers NO delivery, they just sell the best pizza. Bruni's Pizza is a thin-crusted pizza, but extra thick is available at an increased price. They offer a wide selction of toppings (I recommend anchovies), and their are available for purchase-fountain and bottled beverages, and snacks. But they only cook PIZZA! The staff is warm and friendly, and the facility is pleasantly clean. If you're serious about pizza, then you must get over to Bruni's Pizzeria, Mangia!!! more
