HEAVEN-SENT!! 9/7/2009

Before I adopted my ferret Phoebe at the Champaign County Humane Soctiety, I had noticed she was under weight and losing hair, she had adrenal disease, common in ferrets. I then inquired how much it would cost for the surgery. The CCHS call A&E to find out, He said how much and that he would do the $1,000 procedure at NO COST! because It would increase her chances of being adopted, and it did I adopted her and her sister. She has a great life compared to the Ya-Ya that dumped her and her siblings in a cardboard box. My 2.8lbs (formerly less than 1lb) Pheobe is a beautiful healthy farret thanks to Dr. Brummet and the A&E staff. more

Love A and E and I travel 2.5 hours each way just to take my babies! 12/22/2008

I have always been completely satisfied with A and E. I have been going there since I was 5 years old (when I lived in Urbana) and I am now 29 (living in Chicago). I have had 7 animals go through there, 4 of which have now passed on.\r I dont trust any other Dr. Brummet and his team of excellent Vets. I now have 2 cats and dog and we take that trip to A and E from the Windy City for everything from shots and check ups to surgery and x-rays. I have and will continue to travel 130 miles from Chicago to Urbana to see the best Vet ever!! more

Always attentive, friendly and thorough 7/18/2008

We have been going to A & E for 11 years now. Our dog got very sick with a mystery illness 3 years ago. Before she was showing obvious symptoms I noticed that she wasn't quite right. Dr. Brummet quickly tested and recognized that there was a problem and that she needed to see a specialist. He was able to get her into the local university clinic (bypassing the waiting list) where our dog spent the next several weeks in critical care & almost died. A & E was very much a part of the chain of events that kept our dog alive. The people there are always friendly, thorough, take time to talk about concerns, give clear explanations, and talk through options. They are also gentle and friendly with our dog. more

Great 3/10/2007

They just built a new facility. This place is nice! They have great features such as a kenine condos and play areas. I have no complaints about the service. There is not much to say. I enjoyed it. more

Wonderful 3/10/2007

I thought that the service at A&E Animal Hospital was outstanding. Everything they do is first class. The lead vet was very kind and courteous. They knew what they were doing and I felt very safe knowing that my dog, Sadie, was in good care. If you need a vet, go to A&E Animal Hospital! more

Did the bare minimum 11/20/2005

I was not very satisfied with A & E, but they did do what was required. We took our cat their because the previous owner had taken him there. He's not a very friendly cat and I can only guess they knew this because they did not handle him hardly at all. They removed him from the carrier, weighed him, gave him his shots and popped him back in to the carrier. Now, he's not the nicest cat at home unless he wants to be petted or fed so I can't exactly give him a thorough exam at home. I would if I could. So I expect once a year for him to get a good exam, palpating him abdomen, checking his teeth and all that jazz. And I didn't get that at A & E. The next year, we went to another vet in town where I knew we'd get a good physical and got some shocking news about our cat's weight problem where he was put on a special diet. If A&E had taken the time, he might have been able to start getting healthy a year earlier. PROS: Did preform most essential functions (vaccinate and weigh) CONS more
