Brown's Country Store & Restaurant

I can't believe I have never stopped here before! I am from Oceanside California and my mom lives in Hot Springs. I have passed by this landmark many times but have never stopped in. I am sorry, I never stopped, now!!! The food was unbelievable!!! The roast was just like my mom made and the ""trace creek potatoes"" were amaazing! My family of 8 was really impressed with the service and food! The restaurant was really clean and I should know because my dad worked for the health dept in Faulkner county for years.\r Great Value and Wonderful food and atmosphere! I will stop here from now on! nothing compares to this restaurant! more

This place was a disaster! Over $50.00 for my family of five. Lots of food, but none you would actually want to eat. It looked as though it had been sitting out all day. Dried out even. The chicken was very greasy and overcooked. The chicken and dumplings were nasty, the veggies were cold or overcooked. The fish was a hit or miss. One out of every few pieces were actually eatable. My kids decided to skip the food and go for desert. Well the brownies were even awful! My children would not even eat them! The waitstaff was non-existant and when you did find them they did not understand the language enough to know we were asking for straws for our drinks. Complete waste of time and money! We left angry and sick! I am telling every one I know. more

Very hard to believe no one is hardly taking the time to tell people about this word famous buffet. If you love a southern home cooked buffet, this is the place to go. Never got anything I didn't like and you won't find potroast any better than this. All the people are very nice and try to help any way they can. If you didn't save room for dessert, don't feel bad, because it happens all the time. Yes the dessert's are very delicious. Do yourselve a favor and try it out. Pros: very good down to earth cooking, lot's of food to pick from Cons: truck parking is next door more

I love Brown's and we eat there everytime we go to Little Rock. I love your almond pound cake and I would love to get the recipe. more

The food at Browns is some of the best I have come across. I have driven across the country quite a few times and I always make it a point to stop in at Brown's. You just have to be careful not to eat to much because you might be too full to drive. Pros: Food, Great Value more
