My wife and I knew what we wanted and needed in a dining room table: Durable, Large, Expandable, and Nice Looking. After letting our salesman know this at Brownie Furniture, they recommended a table with a leave that was exactly what we thought we were after. It was a good ol farm table, country style with big thick legs and a nice top. We asked to make sure it would last which they said of course it would. They also convinced us to purchas a splendid 5 year warranty with the table. All was well, and they did a nice job of delivery and set up. Fast forward just one year and rather than having a table we have a canoe! Literally, the top of the table is like a canoe in the winter and in the summer is nice and flat. Although the table makes for a nice conversation piece (What is wrong with this table? is a frequent comment from guests) it is an absolute ugly and worthless pc of furniture. After repeated attempts by me, my wife, and others to get Brownie to own up to the nasty table, we have gotten nowhere. The warranty only covers accidents, so the owner told me to make up a story and get the table replaced that way. There was no accident - the table is junk. After back and forth, they told me that I didn't spend enough - only $1,000. YOu cannot expect a table to last at that price. Thanks Brownie, for letting me know never ever to purchase, recommend, or even pretend that your business is worth anything.
