Don't ever rent from these guy's. They are scam artist. They will try and take every dime you have. We rented from them for over 6 years. one property for 1 year and another for 5 years. The first property had a leak in the water pipe. It took the a month to come out and fix it. The floor was cement and painted blue. It wasn't damaged but they charged us for the paint being pulled off the floor by the water leaking so long. They took 80 dollars form our security deposit. We ignored it because it was tax time and we still got a good bit of our security back. SO the house we moved into for 5 years was also brown and glenn's. There was an water pipe in the yard that busted and we called them to come out and check it out. They refused saying I had to call the city to see if it was on there side first. So I immediately called the city. They came right out that same day and found it was not on there (the city) side. I called Brown and Glenn right back they said they would send maintenance out. a week go by and I have yet to see maintenance. So I called them back they said oh he is so backed up right now and there is no way he can come out today give him a few days to catch up and they will be out. So a week go by and I called and said is he still coming out. They acted as if they were shocked he had not been out yet and assured he was coming the following day. Long story short I called them until two to three months had passed then she said he quit last minute and they were trying to find a replacement. So 2 weeks latter the replacement comes out and fixes it. But by then we had an water bill of $600. So I asked them if they were going to help pay this bill. They refused to, so I called Don from the news. We went through all this arguing back and fourth and they decided to pay 100 dollars. Of course they hated us after that. So we stayed one more year after that and we were going to move out into an house we were trying to buy. So I called and spoke with deb who assured me oh you can go month to month and just move out when ever. So we never renewed the lease. Not even a few days latter they sent us an eviction notice. So I called and they said that the owner wanted to sell the house so he wanted to renovate the house and couldn't do it with us in it. So they gave us 30 days to get out. So we moved out May 19th. On the 20th we went to check the house thoroughly and get a few items that we still had there. But the house was bashed. The walls had big holes in it. The ceiling had holes in it, anything copper or metal was stolen from the house. We called the police A.S.A.P. We did a report and called Brown and Glenn 24 hour line. These people did not care that this house was broken into. I never heard from them until 3weeks after the house was broken into. They never asked for the report number until then. I called them numerous of times and they kept saying no we have not sent anyone out there, they will get to it when they get to it. Now we are fighting them in court because they are trying to charge us $3,000 for something that has nothing to do with us. Theses people will pretend they are nice and not out to get you. But Trust me they are not what your first impression will lead you to think they are. BE CAREFULL when dealing with them. Better yet don't give them your service. I can't count with both hands together how many times they lied and said we owed them money or our rent wasn't paid and we had to prove them wrong. This company could careless about you or the property they are renting out. They do the sloppiest work ever. Do your self a favor and pass by this company. if you decide to take a property from them be smart and record and take pictures of every piece of damage or every conversation you have with them. I would rather give a 0 instead of 2. I worked as executive and need a 3 bedroom town home. Very poor management and very poor response for maintenance calls. They also refused to return one full month rent deposit. They quote many items as damage where as there was no such damage. I am planning to initiate legal action against these guys. more

I love the location of my place and the price was just right but I will NEVER rent from brown and glenn realty again. They need to update their computer system or something b/c they keep sending letters stating that my rent is one price when on my month to month contract it is a totally different price... more

Brown and Glenn has been doing a great job for me in managing two properties. Amanda is super, always keeping me informed of repairs needed, emergenies, etc. I should have been using them a long time ago. more

After having not moved in several years, I was finally in a place where I was ready to move again. I searched rental ads on Craigslist, and Brown & Glenn has a lot of great properties listed there, and one in particular that I really liked and was ready to move forward with. I received very prompt, informative and courteous responses to my inquiries, which helped me greatly during the move-in process. With an anticipated move to Charlotte, we contacted Brown and Glenn. After working with one of their associates and looking at a few places, I am happy to say we moved into a nice house that meets all our needs and even has a small yard for our dogs. Thanks for all the help! more

The customer service at Brown and Glenn Realty is entirely too lax. After I had requested work to be done on the rental, they promised the work would be done by the end of the week. Over a month later and many phone calls to their office, the work has yet to be done. Renter Beware: Run to a more reliable realtor. Cons: They only care about collecting the rent. more

Unprofessional, not helpful for first time home renters. The left had doesnt know what the right hand is doing. I waited 2 months before my maintenence request was attended to. They dont care about you, your just an address. The house was not prepared when I moved in and they had pictures that clearly showed the condition it was in. I sent my rent in early they still charged me a late fee because nobody knows what the heck is going on over there... Beware stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might like the property but the service is not worth it. Pros: Nice house which has nothing to do with them. Cons: Customer service and maintenence especially is HORRIBLE more
