Monticello institution 2/17/2009

This place has been around for a while, it's locally owned and a good place for soup and sandwich type lunch, it has a pie shop inside for those with sweet tooth. Only local place to have lunch that is not a chain or frozen Sam's re fried food. OK the Mexican and Chinese place's are good. more

good place for a quick bite 8/4/2005

The Brown Bag is a bit more like a Deli. It is counter service, closed Sundays, and open until 7 or 8 on the other days. They offer a variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups and Mexican dishes. There are also a few side items such as chips, coleslaw, potato salad, ect. The best part are the daily specials. There are usually two or three special sandwiches, soups of the day or side dishes. My favorite meal there is the BLT sandwich on toasted egg bread with a fresh fruit cup. Yumm! more
