Gotta love Brooklyn 4/5/2008

I lived in Tucson for 5 years and Brooklyn was my favorite for awesome pizza and garlic knots. I make a point to go there every time I visit Tucson. The sauce is perfect, the cheese is just greasy enough but not too much, and the crust is not too chewy to crunchy. When I was in college, there were many attractive young men who worked there which added appeal to the place. ;) Now it's mostly girls. Just an aside. ;) Pros: Wonderful pizza and garlic knots more

Big slices just like NYC Little Italy 3/24/2008

Having lived in Lower Manhattan NYC, I can say that this is some of the best pizza I have every eaten. \r \r They make your food to order. You give your name (clean up those outstanding warrents first!) and they will call you when you oven-fresh slice is ready. Every thing that I and my friends order there is yummy!\r \r Staff is civil and the place is usually crowded, which is a good sign. \r \r more

Very good pizza! 1/12/2006

I really recommend ordering for lunch since they have great prices for lunch. Pizza has always been good and the slices huge! Try it! Pros: Pizza more

Hand Tossed 10/4/2005

This is an awesome joint. Very popular and I can see why. The pizza is fresh and hand-tossed in front of you. You get a lot for your money. My only complaint is that they didn't put enough sauce on my pizza. I will ask for extra sauce next time. If you like beer they sell that to go as well. Pros: Pizza, Ingredients, Value Cons: Not enough Sauce more

Like pizza? This is as good as it gets 7/14/2005

After riding the Harley from Missouri to visit friends in Tucson, Brooklyn Pizza Co. was one the ""MUST EAT HERE"" places that David & Mary told me about. So...one day David and I went in for lunch. What can I say? GREAT pizza..GREAT/FRIENDLY service...GREAT place to ""eyeball"" and ""take in"" what is there on 4th. Avenue. You folks in Tucson are lucky to have such outstanding food places at your service. And Brooklyn Pizza Co. is just that: OUTSTANDING!!! (Worth that long hot ride from Linn, Missouri). Pros: The pizza: GREAT! , The people: GREAT!, Good, good, GOOD! Cons: NONE! more

It's a Miracle, Brooklyn in Tuscon? 6/17/2005

I couldn't believe it....NY style pizza out west....If I would close my eyes I would think I was in Alphabet City in NY...The crowd is the same (a bunch of kids with tattoos and strange hairstyles) funky furnishings but....the same pizza... I heard somewhere that the reason why pizza places outside of NY can't duplicate NY Pizza is because the water is different....yeah right!!! Brooklyn Pizza in Tuscon has done it...and done it well...they even have a pizza called Flatbush Feast....come on, how Brooklyn can you get?? Why can't other pizza places do that, especially the ones that call themselves NY Pizza??? If you are in Tuscon...go directly to 4th Avenue and come back to Brooklyn.. more

The Best Pie in Town 3/2/2004

This is my favorite place for pizza. They are always playing good music. Even plain old cheese pizza is awesome. Try the garlic knots. Also, they have a full moon special, happy hour, and they are open late for hungry bar hoppers after last call. Pros: awesome food, centrally located, ambience more

Tasty 11/27/2002

Being a New Yorker, I know pizza real well, and I would highly recommend Brooklyn Pizza as one of the closest to the tasty New York style pizza. Pros: great food, reasonable prices, fast service Cons: too many transients, bad parking more

Only in NY 11/6/2002

Brooklyn Pizza is the very best Being from New York - living in an Italian neighborhhos where pizza is a way of life... knowing what good crust should be like, what goos proofing is and FLAVOR... Brooklyn Pizza reigns supreme.. Pros: Best Crust & Sauce, Inexpensive, Freindly atmosphere Cons: Needs painting & more, pictures of brooklyn more

Coney Island in the middle of the desert 7/19/2002

We've eaten at Brooklyn pizza a few times. Being from Philly with close relatives in Queens, NY, I have to say that Brooklyn pizza makes a pizza that tastes pretty good compared to say, the boardwalk at Seaside Heights, NJ. And let me say that, that is some good pizza! I enjoy the Italian Water Ice they serve also. The service is good too considering how busy the place can get on a weekend. If you want a pizza like the little mafia owned pizzerias back in NY, NJ and PA, this is the place to go, no franchise crap here, just good old pizza straight out of the concrete jungle! Pros: good food, good location Cons: crowded like Brooklyn, to far from my house more

Place bah, Pizza...ahh 6/20/2002

This is the closest to a New York and Jersey Pizza place I have seen so far... In both taste and attitude. Collage staff aside, Great crust (sometimes not unifom) makes for great garlic knots. If you're homesick for a good ""Boardwalk"" Pizza... need be no more. Pros: good parking, excellent pizza, good condiments Cons: horrible attitudes, looks dirty, staff is unkempt more
