I am currently attending Brooklyn College and I have to say that this is an amazing school. The campus is gorgeous. Right now they are doing renovations on the plaza building and the internet cafe, but even with the rubble and fenced off locations, the beauty of the campus still shines through: the colorful flowers, vibrant green grass, and tall structures. Aside from the aesthetics of BC, the education is above average, grade-A quality. We have some of the most brilliant professors, especially in the English department: Moustafa Bayoumi (brilliant), Matthew Burgess (inspiring), Roni Natov (encouraging), James Davis (affable), the list goes on and on. I've also had brilliant professors in other courses: LaBianca (for Core Chemistry), Blamire (for Core Biology), Harris (for Core 1--classics), etc... A lot of people may disparage CUNY and CUNY students, but they are completely underestimating both. Definitely visit this school if you are thinking about going to college--you will find that I am not lying. It's a competitive school and also very active in student life (so it's not always hitting the books). There is also a large diversity of students (of different ethnicities and ages), so there will never be a dull moment on campus. There are also many places to quietly study and a lot of computer access all over the campus, and they are building a starbucks right next to the college for a great coffee fix. And don't believe all the hype you hear about Robert Scott in the Honors Academy. He's all talk and not as helpful as he appears to be. He will tell you that he's taking care of something for you and you'll remind him time and time again and months later it will still not be done.
