Brookhaven Foods

It is a place to shop for unique European international food. There are shelves with Asian food also. The store is formerly known as Brookhaven Foods. It was relocated recently to the other side of the Brookhaven Plaza and changed the name slightly. It is large and clean now. Unique: You can find there escargot very like the one you get in the good restaurant, sea urchin, rabbit, frog legs, organic eggs, real red caviar. Frozen food: Do not skip their frozen food sections located in a few areas though out the store, you find some food there different from you see in other stores. Other standard sea food, meat, and poultry; Fruits and vegetables: large selection; dried berries, nuts, editable seeds, spices; Sweats: selection is not small and some nice items can be found there; Organic food: They had even good selection of organic grown food, but then that got significantly reduced by some reason. more

Although it’s not much to look at inside, this is truly an international grocery store. The selection of each type of food is from around the world. The produce department features many things I have never seen before, as does each department. Weekly specials are worth the trip alone. They tend to be a bit high in the frozen foods, but that is not why people shop there. The employees are friendly and eager to assist. The store is well worth the visit! more

I shop at Brookhaven foods about once every other week. I like the store because they have excellent prices on deli meats and cheeses and also produce. They have a great selection of many type of ethnic foods and they also have great sale prices. The only downside is that the store is a little dirty but their food has always been high quality. more
