One of the Nation's Top Zoo's! 8/6/2005

Hard to believe that in the middle of the Midwest lies one of the nation's top rated zoos, but here it is! From antelopes to zebras, Brookfield Zoo has it all! There are indoor and outdoor attractions, educational and fun displays, stroller friendly trails, souvenir shops and restaurants- what more could you ask for in a zoo? A family membership is a must if you plan on going more then a couple of times a year. Membership includes free parking and admission as well as discounts on all of your purchases in the park. You also get several free passes to share with family and friends. more

We love the Brookfield zoo! 8/1/2005

This is one of outstanding zoos in the Midwest! They offer an amazing dolphin show and much more. If you are going to visit more than once during the year, I recommend getting a season pass as it can be a big money saver. Also, you don't have to bring your entire lunch, just pack some snacks and get a BBQ sandwich, they're incredible. more

Gorilla House 7/28/2005

This is a great place to go to especially if you have friends or family that are visiting. The admission is expensive and you have to pay for parking as well. The zoo itself is great. You have to check out the gorilla house. They have several restaurants in the zoo as well. Lincoln Park Zoo is free but Brookfield has more to see. more

Best Zoo in the Area 7/25/2005

Brookfield Zoo is definitely the best zoo in the area. They are in a good, central location as far as the suburbs are concerned, they have a very large campus, and the parking lot is adequate. It is a nice place to spend the day with your family because chances are there is at least one attraction that each person will enjoy. They have a reptile house, gorilla house, and other specialty attractions along with the standard elephants, giraffes, and zebras. The restaurants are expensive, and very busy during meal times. So if you're going to eat in the restaurants, go outside of peak lunch or dinner times. Better yet, save some money and pack a picnic lunch! more

brookfield zoo 7/4/2005

Prices are a little high at this zoo...you have to pay $8 for parking + your admission into the zoo. they have alot of animals to see there and also have a water show which my son always liked. they have train you can hop aboard when you get ited of walking around and it will take you throught the zoo. i always like to check out there several gift shops they have there,as they sell home made unique items. they also have several resturants located at the zoo, whether your just looking for a quick snack or want a meal. it is a nice zoo and would recommend out of towners to check it out. more

Excellent Zoo and so much to see 6/30/2005

I loved this zoo. It's variety of animals and grounds were excellent. The staff at the zoo were great and greeted you with huge smiles. This zoo is very stroller friendly. I took my 5 month old daughter there and wheeled her around the zoo in her stroller very easily. I have been to many zoos around the world and this was certainly one of the best. My daughter was in awe the whole way through the zoo, its the quietest she has been since birth. So I am planning to take her there again very soon. The admission prices are reasonable and the parking was very easy to access. more

Nice fun for the whole family 6/20/2005

The Brookfield Zoo is a great place to escape from home. The Zoo has excellent landscaping, as you walk in they have a huge fountain in the middle its very pretty. The animals seem very happy, their exhibits are well maintained. The souvenirs you buy there are kind of expensive. The have dolphin shows, those are the best. more
