Brookdale Fruit Farm Stand

Brookdale farm is truly adorable. I've been going there for about 4 years now, and it's just the cutest restored barn shop around. I prefer Lull Farm for produce + food, but Brookdale has a much broader selection of plants, flowers, outdoor garden decorations + pots, cool vintage reproduction iron gates, a beautiful finch cage complete with finches inside to enjoy, pony + horse rides on Saturday, and great gifts. They have the best stuff stocked around the holidays in 2 very large gift emporiums. I don't know the owners, and I don't get a very "friendly down home" feeling when I shop at Brookdale like I do when I shop next door at Lull Farm, but I do return for the gift shop and on Saturdays, to pet the adorable mini horse. :) more

Brookdale Fruit Farm is a great, old-fashioned farm stand (you can purchase fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, pick apples, pumpkins, etc.) but it is also much more. They sell a number of gourmet products, and have two large gift shop/craft shop areas. Entering the store, go to the right, and you'll find a variety of craft items, though mostly Christmas items (even during our last visit in late summer.) We've purchased a number of unique gifts here. Toward the left of the building, you'll find lots of other gift items, including a cute kids toy section, with a lean toward retro toys, but with modern items as well. They have candles, retro style lunch boxes, and much more. Go for the fresh fruit and vegetables, but do not forget the gift shop areas. This is one of my favorite farm stands anywhere. more

This is a great farm stand and store in Hollis. It has a full indoor fruit stand, room full of dried and silk flowers, room with cute gifts and a greenhouse. There are plants and flowers outside. Fresh baked items also. They have a few animals out back that you can go visit (pigs, goats, sheep). Great stuff! You can also pick your own strawberries, apples and pumpkins depending on season. Prices are reasonable. more
