Deana: Sunless Tanning Goddess! 8/4/2005

When searching this site for a good tanning salon, I stumbled across the Bronze Bar. I thought I'd give it a shot since I'm fair-skinned. I booked an appointment, and even on short notice they were able to get me in. I'd read that the decor was not the asthetically pleasing, so I was prepared. It was somewhat shocking how little they've done to create the atmosphere us Seattelite's seem to expect from such a locale. But, I've never had the color I got from this one session in my life after any amount of prolonged tanning attempts. Even six days later (estimated benefits last from 5-10 days), I still have great color. I consider $37 for airbrush tanning in Seattle to be cheap, considering the Mystic tans I've had have only given a fraction of this color and cost around $25 a pop. I'll be a faithful weekly visitor! Great Tanning Experience 7/7/2005

Everything about my experience at the Bronze Bar was fabulous! I was apprehensive at first because my skin is very fair, and wasn't sure if the color would suit me. But after seeing my newly bronzed skin, I knew it wouldn't be the last time I was in there. It looked so natural and Deana (owner) made sure she knew what I was looking for on the light to dark scale before spraying me. I asked for a conservative tan and that's what I got. The staff was also very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment. Thank you bronze bar for helping us fair people fake it! more

Excellent Staff but a Less than Excellent Tan 6/29/2005

After reading the reviews at Citysearch I couldn't wait to try the Bronze Bar. I called up and making an appointment was easy, I got the time and day I needed. The place is totally no frills, not for 'spa' lovers. The staff was awesome. I asked questions, got answers, felt 100% comfortable. Everyone was great! Unfortunately, even though I followed all directions to the letter, my tan is half gone. It has only been 24 hours, and one calf and both forearms have lost all color. My face also looks quite blotchy. This is all probably rare as I have heard only good things about Bronze Bar, but may be worth considering for some. If you are looking to get airbrushed, I'd still give them a try, just know that it might not work for you. Pros: staff, price, scheduling Cons: location, didn't last, parking more

Impressive! 12/11/2004

I've been airbrushed all over town, but kept hearing about the bronze bar. So i checked it out and it is definitely the best airbrush tan I've had. I'll continue to make the drive from the Eastside for my airbrushing. Pros: perfect color, affordable more

Deana is a GOD! 6/24/2004

Total fake tan skeptic but Deana was amazing! Not only was my tan flawless (no lines, no streaks, no weird patches of REALLY tan skin! :) but the staff makes you feel so comfortable that you don't mind getting down to your skivies! The application is quick and has no funny smell. I did this right before my bachelorette party in Vegas and all my girlfriends were shocked that the tan was airbrushed. This place is amazing! I live and work in LA, but frequent Seattle to visit family and friends. I've been to sooo many salons that offer the airbrush tanning, and Deana is definitely the best! Amazing! 5/26/2004

I went to the bronze bar days prior to attending a wedding and I cant tell you how many complements I received about how great I looked and the few people I told that the tan wasnt from the sun were amazed and wanted to know more. Deana is terrific and really does make you feel comfortable and you know youre in capable hands. Ill definitely be backthis is my new self indulgence. more

I love this place, the women here are amazing, as a man they made me feel very comfortable. I kept seeing so many hot women coming and going I felt very nervous. But during my tanning application the owner was very professional and made me feel at ease. 2 thumbs up for this place! I did a spray booth a few times before, but the color didnt compare to this. More guys need to start doing this if the arent already. Thanks Bronze Bar! Pros: professional, not to stuck up more

Deana made my first sunless tanning experience a breeze. She was very professional and made any insecurities about getting tanned disappear. She answered all my inquiries about what to expect, she was very thurough in her descriptions. I highly recommend trying the Bronze Bar for sunless tanning, you will not regret it! more

Amazing results! 4/6/2004

When I made an appointment with Deana (owner) and asked for color similar to Jennifer Aniston--even, healthy and NOT TOO ORANGE-- I got exaclty what I asked for. I was amazed by the results. I woke up the next day with a pretty, brown tan that lasted over a week. My friends were so impressed they all made appointments that same week. Deana, took a lot of time explaining the process and making sure that I got exactly what I asked for. I'm so happy with the experience I now visit once a week. I was blown away by how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is. My normal tanning routine is Mystic Tan and until I tried this. The Bronze Bar tan made my skin look sunkissed, smooth and bronzed. Out of all the tanning methods I have used this has exceeded my expectations by far. I am forever a fan and will be back every week.... Pros: professional stafff, smooth even tan, no streaks!! more

I have been tanning in beds for years and decided to try the Bronze Bar after reading a positive review in the Seattle Times. I was a little skeptical about the whole spray-on tan thing but at the Bronze Bar she sprays you by hand so it's perfect all over. I LOVE IT! SO much better for you and now I can be tan with none of the guilt AND no risk of getting sunburned! I am a total convert, no more tanning beds! Definitely recommended. Tanned again 2/11/2004

Having had some non life threatening skin cancer removed I figured my days of looking tanned and healthy were over but after recieving a gift cert from my girlfriend[a devoted airbrush tanner] I am currently sporting a tan as deep and natural looking as anything I have had since I was growing up on the beach in Australia.
