This place used to be my once-a-week treat. I'd order a special recipe half turkey sandwich, which came with delicious home-made chips and a pickle, and a giant fresh-baked cookie. Quite a meal for only about $6.
But little things kept ruining my experience. Usually when I ordered a half sandwich, they rang it up as a whole until I questioned the price. They claimed to be ""out of"" sprouts for my sandwich several times, but didn't tell me ahead of time or offer a discount. Even as a weekly customer, they wouldn't punch my frequent customer card when I was a few cents under the minimum. They strangely opened a taco joint on one half of the restaurant and scolded me for taking my sandwich and sitting in my usual spot...despite how they use the same staff to make both sandwiches and tacos. They also have a new outdoor patio staffed by waitresses, so since I ordered at the counter, I was not allowed to eat outside (no apologies, either). Their bakery selection used to feature an overflowing space of tempting treats, but it's probably been halved or worse now, and their giant, scrumptious cookies have shrunk and have little appeal (although I believe they're still the same price). They got rid of my favorite meal and replaced it with very exciting-sounding sandwiches that turned out to be mediocre.
Any one of these issues would be very forgivable, but I am done giving them more chances. If the staff was at least friendly and kind, I could deal with these irritations for the sake of local business...but the staff usually seem unhappy to be there and reluctant to serve me.
They *do* still have very delicious homemade chips, though.
