The best secret in the Boston area to buy a used car. They have the best prices and some really nice cars. I checked everywhere and found this place, even though its small, to be the place where I decided to buy. I got a great Nissan Altima! They were easy to deal with and not the typical used car salesman type. more

You hear a lot of things about used car dealers but these guys are definitely not like any of the other dealerships we had gone to. They don't pressure you like most places. We felt comfortable dealing with them. Our car was making a sound a few months after we bought it. We brought it over to them and they fixed it for free even though the warranty had expired about two months before. Thanks guys! more

I went over there and dealt with them yesterday. They were really easy to deal with. I had been to some other dealerships over the past couple weeks that I would not go back to. This place was different. No pressure just helped me with the whole process. They don't have a lot of cars, but the cars they do have seem really nice. Also, they gave my more money for my trade in then anywhere else. more

I usually feel more safe buying from big dealerships but this one is the exception to the rule. They have probably about 30 cars. The attention my wife and I got along with all of our answers and concerns being satisfied was a nice change from some of the other dealerships we had recently visited. I really felt comfortable dealing with them. They are not the typical used car salesman. Tom was our salesman. He's a great guy. The next time I'm looking to buy a car I will definitely be going back there. more

This place is the best little secret in Somerville. They blow away any other deal at any other dealer anywhere. I shouldn't be writing this review but I am being nice today and sharing my secret. I don't want this place getting flooded with customers and then they start raising prices. They don't have too many cars but the cars they have are really nice and really cheap. I know the guy over there and he has a great mechanic who make the cars mint. My whole family has been going there for years. There are a few other dealerships in Somerville but they all suck. This place is the place to go. more

Do not buy a car from these guys, I did and consider it one of the biggest mistakes of my life!!! I bought a 2002 Subaru WRX and, less than a week after I bought it, found myself in the auto shop. In addition to engine trouble, I found that they had replaced all four tires with surplus used tires that had been patched, run on while flat, and had bubbles in the tread. Anyone who would put dangerously unsafe tires on a used car to save a couple bucks, is scum. After 2 months of having my car in and out of the shop, the engine finally blew, leaving me without a car and $8000 out of pocket. Don't trust the 5 star reviews on this site, they all seem way too similar to have been written by real customers. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere!!! more

I went there to buy a car that was online. I was told to come down and get the car. When I got there, tha car was sold and was told that they have another car that is "reliable ". It was a Buick la sabere,a grandmas car. The expected me to take it, i politely declined. But they expect me to take what they gave me. AWESOME PRICES. I called and came by today 12 / 26 / 11. There were not many dealers open today. I called first and talked to Tom. He told me over the phone that they guarantee the lowest prices around. I was like ya right thats what all dealers say. So I went on Craigslist and found out they really do have really good prices compared to all the other cars I could find online. I figured maybe the cars were cheap for a reason? Maybe they have things that are ready to break? I went down there and found the Subaru Forester I was looking for. I took it to my mechanic (Trum Field Sunoco). I recommend them, they are great mechanics! They checked out the Forester for me and said it was a car that looks like it was maintained very well and didn't need anything. No leaks Nothing. It only cost $40.00 for a pre-purchase inspection...good deal! So I guess you don't always get what you pay for because when I looked up the car to find out the book value. It was almost $1600 more than I paid. I'm sitting home with nothing to do the night after Christmas with nothing to do so I guess I'm a geek? This dealer is really great. They guys were very friendly and helpful. All the cars were really clean. more

I bought a car from Broadway Auto off of Ebay and had it shipped to LA. I never bought a car on Ebay before! I talked to Tom on the phone and got a really good feeling about him. I was a little nervous because I am kind of new to buying things online, but I went for it anyways! The day the car arrived in LA, I brought it to my mechanic to have it checked out to make sure its not a Lemon Pie. My mechanic gave it the thumbs up and said it was a well maintained car. I told the guys over there that I would leave a good review if the car was as advertised. I'm am very happy about the whole transaction. Cars are a lot more expensive out here. So here is my review. They don't have a lot of cars, but the cars they do have seem to be in really nice condition. I asked if I could bring a car to show it to my mechanic before I purchased it. A salesman Steve there said I didn't really need to because their mechanic goes through the cars before they put them up for sale. Although he said I was more than welcome to take it anytime to show it to whoever I want. I brought it to an Audi mechanic (it was an Audi) for a pre-purchase inspection and the mechanic said it was a really nice car and didn't really need anything. I brought an Audi from another dealer to my mechanic last week that I got from Johns Auto Sales in Somerville and my mechanic told me it had a major oil leak. So Broadway Auto seems to be on the up and up as far as I am concerned. They have better prices than I could find anywhere else. Good luck in finding your car. I would recommend going there. more

I came in yesterday and dealt with Tom and Steve. I had seen some good and bad reviews online prior to coming in. I made a deal to buy one of their cars as long as they fixed a few thing I noticed about the car. When I came back the next day, they had done exactly what we agreed upon. They seem like good guys and not the typical shifty eyed dealers I had come across before. They at least look at you in the eye when they are talking to you and are very friendly. I was skeptical buying from a used car dealership at first, but Tom and Steve both seem really straight forward. more

Good: Both Tom and Josh seemed like nice guys, never felt any pressure to purchase.. Bad: We were told that the Audi that we purchased had the timing belt replaced recently.Upon returning to RI for state inspection, we found out that the timing belt was so old that it was ready to break. My mechanic (AutoWerks, Providence) stated that the car was not safe to drive in it's (then) present condition.Josh wanted me to drive the car back to Mass. for repairs, but would not guarantee what would happen if timing belt broke during the drive.If timing belt breaks while driving the car, the motor is junk.. Improvements: HONESTY!, FULL DISCLOSURE!Had we been told the truth about the timing belt, we would have tried to negotiate a better price and would have had it repaired there, before we drove it back to RI.Josh agreed to pay for half the timing belt job ($450.00-his price) but offered no solution as how to transport car.As he had admitted his mistake, I had the work SAFELY done by my mechanic, but it cost$1200.00. I am only asking him for the original amount promised of $450.00.Car also needed $300.00 work on the brakes. Other: Once again, Tom and Josh seemed very trustworthy, UNTIL it became time to pay up, then I was ignored.WHEN BUYING A USED CAR, ALWAYS ASK THE "DEALER" IF THE TIMING BELT HAS BEEN CHANGED, MAYBE YOU WILL GET AN HONEST ANSWER.I did not want to come here and write a bad review, but I feel obligated to educate and hopefully protect the unknowing public. I recently purchased a Volvo Wagon from Broadway Auto Sales. I live in up state New York and loved there Volvo. So I spoke with my husband and we decided to have it delivered to us after purchasing it through an online transfer. As you can imagine, I was extremely nervous doing it this way, as I never saw the car until it arrived at my door step. Well I was thoroughly impressed when it was delivered. His add said the car was perfect and I have to agree that it is. We took the car for state inspection and it passed with 0 problems. I felt very vulnerable and was glad there are still honest people in this world. I would like to recommend this place to anyone looking for a great car from a great person. I went there and its a rather small place with about 30 cars for sale. Nothing fancy buy the best prices I have seen anywhere and I have been shopping for about 2 months. I'm sooo tired of the pressure sales game every time I want to go see a car at a dealership. Tom was there and he was very helpful. He was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. NO pressure at all. It was very refreshing dealing with him and I want to recommend this dealership. more

They are horrible people looking to steal your money...They do not care about the lemon law, they know that their cars are shit and that they dont have to fix them without court order which could take years. They laughed in my face when i told them I needed it for work and they have to fix it. I have had my car for 2 weeks..and it still hasnt passed inspection, yet somehow that isn't their problem. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER. THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE. the rest of these reviews are either fake, or they just got lucky. DO NOT RISK IT!!!! more

We called and spoke to Tom about the 2000 Kia Sportage. He said it was still available, we told him we would be down the next day to buy. He said he would hold the car. Well we should have known there was something wrong because he never returned any of our calls. But hoping he was an honest business man we went to Somerville anyways and you got it, he had SOLD it. Didn't even have the courtesy to call us. He did deny not remembering things. But a hard lesson learned. Our fault for driving there without verification that he had actually held the car for us and his fault for being a dishonest business person. Learn from this Tom, be a honest business person and call people back. If you had we probably would have bought a car from you but instead we are writing this nasty review. So bottom line people, we got screwed over by Tom so RUN RUN RUN AND NEVER BUY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. more

I Left a deposit on a 2000 Kia Sportage yesterday. Today when I came to pick up my new car there was someone on the lot trying to buy my car. Tom, one of the owners, was there trying to explain to the people that it was my car because I had left a deposit on it. The people were so intent on buying the car, they were offering him $350 more than I was paying. I couldn't believe it! Tom was very honorable and would not even consider their offer. He is a really good guy and very nice to deal with. I want to commend him on his very fair business practice. Thanks Tom!!! more

We had a great experience at Broadway auto. In February we were expecting our third child and needed a safe, inexpensive vehicle that would be big enough to carry all five of us. So we bought a used Nissan Quest from Broadway Auto. The owner allowed us to have it inspected by our own mechanic prior to purchase. When our mechanic brought up a couple of issues with the vehicle, Broadway Auto took care of them, including fixing the air conditioning. We have had no problems with the vehicle since then and spent the summer in air conditioned comfort traveling throughout New England in our Quest. more

They two guys that run the place are really laid back. They don't push you at all to buy from them. I really liked that and they have really good deals. more
