What does funeral home mean? 11/3/2008

My cousin, a young man pasted a way under suspicious circumstances. My family already in shock and turmoil still had some to come. The funeral director had an agenda. 5 minutes for greeting family, 10 minutes for crying 8.6 minutes to walk by casket 30minutes to travel to cemetery. Heal Mary full of grace throw in the dirt . During this hole experience at this funeral home. I looked like a deer caught in head lights . I have never been so shocked in my life.\r more

I have attended funerals in Clay County at both funeral homes, 5/27/2008

Brittons wins hands down as far as Jim and the staff showing respect toward the family and friends of the deceased. The building layout is much nicer. The floors at Romingers slope so badly that I have almost tripped a few times! \r Being at a funeral is never an easy thing to do and certainly having to plan one is one of the hardest things but Jim Trosper makes it as easy as it could ever be, his kindness, his respectfulness, his graciousness. His willingness to work with you financially , all of this helps to make an extremely difficult situation much easier. more

Rude Behavior 7/21/2007

When it is time to exit the building, I do not think that people who attend the funeral should be forced to view the body. My nephew did not want to go view the body and Trosper tried to tell him that he had to proceed in line with the other people and go out by the casket. It is hard enough for some people to attend a funeral. If you do not want to view the body, I do not think Jim Trosper should try to force anyone to view the body or exit by the casket. It should be up to the individual. Furthermore, Jim Trosper rolled his eyes and blew at us for wanting to exit the other door. I thought he was extremely rude. This is a memory that my nephew and I will have for our uncle's funeral due to Jim Trosper being inconsiderate and rude. more
