Best

one of the best and most fun places we have been

Worst

Brit's beer selection is good. The food is so-so (were you expecting good Brittish food?!) Pros: Beer Cons: Expensive!

Avoid Friday night isyou're not into the nicollet ""scene"" 11/14/2006

If you're a bit of a beer snob, this might be a good place to start the night. Come early for fish and chips and a pint of old speckled hen and leave before the the shee shee bar crowd gets in. If it's a summer night, go early for HH drinks and get a spot on the roof patio next to the garden. more

Great place when staying downtown 11/4/2006

I was in Minneaoplis during the summer 2006 for a conference. We didn't know where to eat, so we tried Brit's. I got the Tandoori chicken (a version of it). It was delicious. The drinks were somewhat expensive, but not compared to NY or Boston prices. Several other people ate (and drank) there as well for the week we were there, and I heard no complaints, other than the drinks were expensive. Check it out! Pros: Very good bar food Cons: Very loud (world cup was on) more

Go for the Atmosphere and stay for the Bangers 6/18/2006

While I wouldn't classify Brit's food as gourmet by any stretch, when you combine the above average food with the atmosphere (especially on the deck) I would say it's a great time for all. We went with a group of 13 and sat on the deck. Service was above average (although the server seemed to be having a bad day), we drank beer and spent some time lawnbowling. Very enjoyable. Pros: Atmosphere, grabbing some rays on the deck more

Great place to hang out, relax and enjoy a pint!! 9/13/2005

I rate Brit's the best bar in the Twin Cities because the owner is awesome. When you walk in when he's working he's got that fun-whitty British accent coupled with great hospitality and humor. The food is good (burgers, Indian food, fish and chips), and of course the beer is not to be missed. For a fun night out on the town in an ecletic, relaxed and fun atmosphere, try Brit's Pub on Nicollett Mall. more

Spendy drinks, Awesome patio. 8/28/2005

Service is alright. Food is alright. Patio is large and very unique with lawnbowling!! I go for atmoshpere. Be forwarned that drinks are GROSSLY overpriced. Actually, this is one of the more expensive bars in town. I ordered two shots and one drink and my tab was almost $30. What did I order? Two liquid viagras (aka yag bombs) and one stoli red bull. Other bars would've used ONE can of Redbull, not THREE like Brits. more
