Run don't walk AWAY from Brink 2/18/2011

One step above a Slum Lord! Do not rent from this property manager. We moved into a house on 32nd St, Mercer Island. The house was dirty, had electrical issues, mold, cat urine, etc. We had to leave the state for a job. We found new approved renters. They kept our $1900 deposit (I could accept), but then held us to a different move out standard. We left the place cleaner then when we moved in. And they are still charging us for cleaning and light bulbs that did were not work when we moved in. The 5 page exit document was never shown to us when moving in. more

The worst property management 2/4/2011

I've liked a house they advertised online and contacted them with a request. They've told me that there are other approved applicants and they expect the first payment. But they nevertheless suggested to contact them a few days later. So I did and got same response - ""approved applicants, call later"". Few days later they posted a new ad on the house! Just plain LIARS :( more

Great experience 1/26/2011

I've been renting from Brink for over 3 years now and I've never had any of the experiences some people have posted about. They've always been very professional and courteous with me. I've had a handful of maintenance issues over the years and they've all be deal with fairly quickly so I haven't had any complaints. I have had to deal with unpleasant landlords in the past but Brink doesn't fall into that category. I'm actually very happy I rented from Brink, its been great. more

HORRIBLE COMPANY! 1/12/2011

Professionalism is NOT a word these people understand. They act like complete morons. From Day 1 my leasing agent seldom returned my calls. I always followed up with HIM. If I had a question I would just call the main line, finally, a rude woman said: ""Oh, I heard about you."" Wow. Sorry I have to call other agents to have my questions answered! Finally, after paying $70 to fill out paperwork they changed the bid and tripled the offer... TRIPLED! The rude agent left me a voicemail saying that the rent had tripled and I heard a lady in the back say; ""Really? They did that?"" Right before he hung up. Thats Professionalism at its finest! To make a long story short Brink Property Management is run by completely inept people who are the scum of the earth. They wasted my time every chance they had and I hope that they get shut down. more

RUDE, VERY VERY RUDE!! 10/14/2010

These people are very rude and they're complete LIARS. The bldgs are in terrible shape, they're old and run down, and the staff is a bunch of idiots, and they do not know what the hell they're doing. This place is awful and I do not recommend anybody ever rent from these low-life slum lords. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! more

WE HAVE LIVED IN OUR APT. FOR 2+ YEARS. ONE WEEK AGO WE ALL RECEIVED A NOTICE TAPED TO OUR DOOR, IT SAID THAT BRINK PROP MANAGEMENT WAS GOING TO BE THE NEW MANAGERS FOR OUR COMPLEX. IMMEDIATELY, I JUMPED ONLINE AND SENT THEM A TEXT ASKING FOR KEYS TO THE OUTSIDE COORIDOOR ENTRANCE-NOTHING, NO HOT WATER IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM---NOTHING, NUISANCE NEIGHBOR SLAMMING DOORS AND SCREAMING FILTHY LANGUAGE-NOTHING...THEN WE GOT A THREE DAY PAY OR VACATE NOTICE STUCK TO OUR DOOR!! 2000.00 OF IT WAS FOR CHARGES THAT THE OLD MANAGEMENT COMPANY INCURRED AFTER SEEKING LEAGAL COUNSEL THEN DROPPING THE ISSUE AND EXCEPTING PAYMENTS--WE WERE MAKING THOSE PAYMENTS!! I;M SURE YOU CAN GUESS WHAT MY OPINION OF THIS COMPANY IS.....WTF more

Scarp, Bad staff, Very bad service, Bad atitude for tenants 2/10/2010

It is the worst experience in my life with brink PM. not honest. Very bad service.\r \r They rented me the house which had all heat vents were broken and filled up with Rat nests. Heat insulators were dismantled. I need to write 5 emails and couple of phone calls every day to follow-up them to fix it. They took 3 months to fix it and my family suffered lot without heater for 3 months.We had got diseases because of rats. \r When they wants some stuff get it done from you they will push you and make you to get it done on the spot or They threat you.\r \r They will not pickup you phone. They will not provide the information you needed from your home owner. They don’t listen you. They will do whatever they want to do.\r Pros: Best in providing bad service. Cons: Take months to fix your issue. Zero cooperation. Bad attitud more

Not fast, but well done! 1/1/2008

Had major water damage to condo and it took a long time for repairs to be accomplished. The managemant company had to fire the first contractor and keep after those who followed. They kept on the case until all was repaired to my satisfaction. Except for the time it took, I have no complaints. more

Not Recommended at all 5/20/2007

I've read review about this management company from this page and hegitate to become their tenant but\r I had no choice to find somewhere else cause their rent was affordable for me, so I became a tenant.\r Everything was ok untill the applience in a room broke, I called management to either fix it or replace it.\r It's been OVER A WEEK since I made the first call to them to do something about it, the problem still is not solved. I've been in few apartments in past, I've never been treated like this.\r I'm planning to move out this place ASAP and never want to do business with them again. Commercial Slum Lords 3/26/2007

We've been living for almost a year in our house and still most of the maintenance stuff that was noted on the original walk through inspection still hasn't been completed. We have to call and complain every few weeks to get anything completed. These items were promised to be completed prior to our move in. It seems like they don't do anything but collect rent. The hassel of getting this company to do anything is not worth it, I'd rather pay more rent and deal with a more competent company. I WOULD NEVER RENT WITH THEM AGAIN. more

If you don't want landlords involved at all except to collect the rent than this is the landlord for you.\r However, if you need anything from a toilet being fixed to any help with the fact that raw sewage has somehow backed up into you garage then beware. It will take weeks, numerous phone calls and threats of withholding rent to get any kind of response. They are as close to slum lords as you are going to get in Seattle. Their goal is to spend as little money as possible keeping the homes they are responsible for maintained and have workers who are stretched way beyond their limit. Truly a nightmare to deal with. more
