Love-Love-Love 7/24/2011

I recently moved to the Palm Springs area and have worn my hair in a very short up-to-date style for the last 20 years. I walked into the salon earlier this week without an appointment, looking for a consultation and to check things out...I was pleasantly surprised at the laid back atmosphere and due to the time of year was able to schedule an appointment for services right then. I am thrilled with both the color and cut from Natalie. She was not only professional and fun, but most of all she really listened to my input, allowing me to be engaged in the entire process. Always so scary going to a new salon and stylist for the first time, but I really could not be any more pleased with the results and will be retuning in five weeks. more

I just recently re-located to Palm Springs and Brien o'brien salon was recommended. Having been in the hair design business for 25 years myself, I am very selective about who I chose to take care of my own haircare needs. more

Loved my visit to the salon 2/26/2011

I'm visiting Palm Springs for the winter and was referred to Brien O'Brien's salon for my color. I was very happy with Jamie and the job he did on my color. Before I left the salon, I made 2 future appointments for color and a trim before I go back to Minnesota. more

Life is Good........................ 1/24/2011

Life is good but it's even better when I patronize the Brien O'Brien Salon on a regular basis. I've been a loyal client of Brien and Brien O'Brien's salon since the day it opened. There isn't a hairdresser in the salon that I wouldn't trust in cutting or coloring my hair. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel like family the minute you step through the salons doors. Whether you live in Palm Springs or just visiting I would recommend the experience I enjoy several times a year. more

A Breath of Fresh Air 11/27/2010

Wow, just had a great experience at Brien O'Brien Salon today. I walked in the salon and Jamie(the stylist) who was going to be cutting my hair greeted me right away and made me feel at ease. What was even better was the dog that brought the toy to play with while I waited for Jaime to finish his client. Jamie knows how to give a great cut! I felt totally at ease with him and totally trusted him. I will be back to the salon, I've already booked my next appointment! Thanks for a great experience! Lars more

This salon is on par with the best salons in Los Angeles and San Francisco and they don't charge a fortune. The Best I have never had a bad haircut, always excellent. more

Love the salon and new stylist 8/12/2010

I have been coming in to this salon for hair needs for around a year. My stylist, summer, left. So on a whim I tried Michael. Yeah! He is great. No only good with the scissors, but someone you want to know. He really got what I wanted, and followed through. Welcome to town, I""ll be seeing you again. more

The best salon in the valley 3/9/2010

I moved to Palm Springs 5 years ago and suffered through 4 years of very bad Salons. Then I discovered the Brian O'Brien Salon. An excellent place, very friendly and great location...and the prices are very reasonable. There is no other place in the desert comparable to the professionalism and very talented work of the people here and Jamie is outstanding. Pros: Very talented and excellent work more

Before finding the Brien O'Brien salon I had looked for a consistently good stylist and came up disappointed. Now I know after a visit with Jamie I don't need to wait 2 weeks before my hair looks cute. My hair looks cute the minute I walk out of the salon every time! Great Salon in the Heart of Palm Springs 3/6/2010

This is a very professional salon with a warm, hip atmosphere. I usually don't like to go to a new stylist without a recommendation, but I took a chance based on the information on their web page. I was really impressed! My cut by Janis Buller was as good as the ones I've gotten by a very high end stylist in Chicago, and for less money. She's very experienced and specializes in styles for fine hair. Don't be afraid to take a chance at Brien O'Brien - you'll be glad you did! Pros: Professional staff, great styles and atmosphere more

A Great Place in a Small Town 2/6/2010

I get GREAT results with my color and cut at brien o'brien. Not many professionals can cut and understand the framing of a face. Jamie at brien's knew exactly how to cut my hair. Moving to Palm Springs last year, I tried a few salons and barbers in town. None were as reliable or knowledgeable on cutting my hair type. Being an average middle-aged man with a full head of salt/ pepper hair, Jamie knew the cut and style. The shop is in a great location to meet friends, grab a coffee and window shop. Love it! 12/30/2009

What a great experience. Starting from going to Koffi and checking out the people and pups in the courtyard. Brien's place also looks onto the Courtyard, so I tie Lucy up by the front door and go in for my shoulder rub, hair consultation, shampoo and cut, all while catching up with Brien and the other friendly/fun stylists. The ambiance is great and the prices are lower than SF salons that don't stand up to the quality of cuts I get at Brien O'Brien. I'd recommend them to anyone. Pros: Probably the best haircuts I've ever had. more

Amazing! i wouldn't go anywhere else in Palm Springs 12/1/2009

This salon is my personal pick in the desert. Over the years, I have paid WAY too much for a haircut at some of the ""IT"" salons. Here at the BOB salon, I get those same incredible results at a fraction of the price. The salon is sleek and polished, yet has a friendly staff. Clients are welcomed in there and the moment you sit down in that chair, you feel comfortable even if you are doing a new look. I have to tell you that I even brought my own Mother into the salon. This is a woman who hasn't changed her hairstyle or even let anyone touch her hair in over 25 years! I left her w/ my stylist, Jamie, and couple hours later a new woman walked out! I have NEVER seen my mother look so pleased with herself. She had a fierce, shorter style and her hair was straight w/ some new color and highlights! This was a crazy day for me because I could have easily been disinherited if my mother was unhappy with the results. Needless to say, I just got off the phone w/ her and she still loves her new look! Thanks again guys! Pros: feels like you're at home w/ friends! Cons: closed on sundays...when almost everyone has the day off more

The high energy and the cutting edge, up to date knowledge that the stylist have keep the clients loyal and grateful to finally have a hip new salon in town!
