JoAnn spent most of the day with us offering fabulous ideas to what had been, up to this point, a very stressful task. I wish we had come here first to shop for bridesmaid dresses - we would have saved so much time and effort. She also helped solve another problem that came up for another bridesmaid closer to the wedding date! more

Very pleased with this bridal shop! They have a great selection and prices are reasonable. The staff was great to work with. We had some issues with my dress but were quickly resolved :) Thank you Brides and Belles for making my day so special! Highly recommend!! more

When a friend and I went into Brides and Belles to look at some wedding dresses for her, we waited and waited to be helped (we were the only one in the store) and we never got any help. We even asked the girl in there to help us. She said she would be with us in a minute and never came over there. So after about 15-20 minutes being in the store we walked out of there without being helped. I really thought that they were overpriced and the staff there were just plain rude. I will not be going back there nor will I recommend anyone else to go back there. more

Brides and Belles has some beautiful dresses for prom, bridesmaids, as well as wedding dresses however I think they became too content at being the only shop in town and being able to treat their customers not as well as they should...and being able to charge the higher prices. I did purchase my prom dress there and had many problems trying to get the dress ordered and in on time (due to wrong ordering) as well as a horrible time with alterations. I understand things happen, it was the attitude of the workers that I did not appreciate, especially for the price we were paying. I would definitely go elsewhere before Brides and Belles...and if you do go just know not to expect much in the customer service department! more

I first came across Brass Lion when I was trying to buy a piece of James Avery jewelry. You wouldn't think that Brass Lion would see James Avery (modern) but they are the only place in Tyler that does. I was glad that I went into the Brass Lion because they have some incredibly beautiful pieces...all antiques. The owners are always helpful and very friendly. The shop is somewhat cluttered but you can find your way around easily. They have some beautiful tables and mirrors. I do not know much about antiques but this is a place to definitely look when decorating your house...or picking up jewelry! more

This is a very good/trustworthy bridal and special occasion wear boutique. They have a surprisingly large selection of wedding gowns for this size town. They do not have as extensive a selection in store of prom dresses but can order just about anything you see or try on elsewhere. If you are ordering a prom dress through them, give them plenty of time. Often times they order the wrong dress. The funny thing is, most of the time the girls keep the "wrong" dress and like it better! Maybe it is their subtle attempt to steer customers toward a more appropriate dress selection? ;) They are higher in price but they will come down in price if you find a better deal on the same dress. They take very good care of their brides. The alterations are a bit tricky...she is either right on or waaaay off so you are just taking a chance in that area. more
